Arena Football

I can't be the only one here who watches the AFL. Let's talk! Favorite teams, formidable players...anything. My favorite team is the NY Dragons. Aaron Garcia sure has accomplished alot the past frew years.

I'm a big Avengers fan. When I was playing semi pro last year, we had a tourney at Staples Center that was a arena league tourney, basically the winner of the tourney had the chance to get their team bumped up to Arena league 2 or whatever it was. I had a lot of fun playing Arena ball. A lot of people knock it, but it's usually because they haven't seen it before.

I'm just getting into the arena football, and I really like it. It seems that it is more about the sport and less about the entertainment because the sport itself is entertaining.

What do you think of seeing the games live? I haven't seen too many yet, and would be interested in what other people think.

Live

Live is always better, especially with arena. It's closer, faster, and way more exciting. Not to mention the whole climate control issue!

Haha, climate control is definitely a plus! There seem to be a lot of minor-league-type teams cropping up around me. I think it just keeps getting easier and easier to catch a game live, so I now longer have an excuse! lol.

Climate control wouldn't be that bid of a deal if they only scheduled games on cool fall evenings. But it's no fun if it's hot or if it's raining. I'm peculiar like that.

The Orlando Predator games used to be fun. Then NBC won the contract and they had to calm down the action in the stands.

Any time money becomes an issue, the fun seems to be sucked out of it first. I think that's why the AAA games in baseball are so much more fun!

For some reason i just could never get to involved in arena football. Maybe i'll give it a try this year. I have heard alot of good things about this league recently.
