The Vanier Cup

On Saturday November 25th, the Canadian University Football Champion will be determined. The game will feature the Saskatchewan Huskies and the Laval Rouge et Or. Should be a great one. I was disappointed that the Ottawa Gee Gees couldn't pull out a win in the semis, but the game should be good nonetheless.

This should be good . . . I like Laval for their balance on O and D, but it's
basically a Huskie home game (Saskatoon's not exactly a neutral site for a
championship). My feeling is that the rouge et orange will prevail. Just hope
Ogorman didn't hear that!

It's a Double letter 'G' and each of the 'G's stands for the Ottawa team's
colours which are garnet and grey; hence GG or the GeeGees.
The colours start witht the same two leeters in French too which works
weel because Canada is officially bilingual (English and French) and Ottawa
in particular is not only the nation's capital but also has a large french-speaking population.
