Is Notre Dame for real?
Are they for real or are they a fraud? If they get by Michigan they should run the table until USC.
Can they beat Michigan & USC and compete for the NC this year? |

Rematch of last year's Fiesta Bowl. ND impressed me against Penn State, but they still have to play a couple tough teams like Michigan and USC. But if they lose to Michigan State again and are still in contention for the national title I would really tend to believe that the media unfairly favors Notre Dame. Plus, they've lost 8-straight bowl games. Weiss HAS to win one of those eventually or the ND faithful will grow restless.

I tend to think that ND should handle Michigan rather easily this weekend. Michigan has underperformed in recent years and has more question marks than ND. I predict that ND doubles up on Michigan 34-17. I think they're for real and the SC game should be another great one imo.

Well it looks like fraud but they should still run the table up to USC setting them up as possible spoilers if USC is unbeaten. Also I wouldn't count out a 1 loss team making the NC game just yet. With ND having a big name game to finish the season and depending on how conference championship games go ND is still in the NC hunt.

Agreed, no more independents. Army and Navy back to Conference USA and Temple will be in the MAC next year. Independents shouldn't be allowed. And ND would still get huge attention in the Big Ten.

ND did not impress me AT ALL. If anything, they were lucky that Michigan State just ran out of steam in the forth quarter.
On the flip side, Michigan State DID impress me. I just wish they'd been able to hold out a little longer. |

I may not have been on this forum before this year, but believe me, I said to everyone I knew that ND was overrated, and so far I look very smart, lol, but anyway, their Defense was very suspect, not a great Linebacking core for them, and the secondary is shaky. their O, I thoght would be good, but the D was what concerned me, and I bet ESPN felt stupid for hyping them up all preseason.
