The WAC is always interesting, there are 4 teams that have a legit shot at the title annually (Fresno, Nevada, Boise, Hawaii) and the conference is intriguing but we see year after year Fresno State heavily concentrate on playing tough non-conference games. I believe they would garner even more respect if they win a WAC title. It would certainly propel them toward their goal of probly playing in a tougher conference one day, something I feel they are very deserving of. Anyone else think that the WAC title game is the Fresno-Boise game this year?

Concur about those teams. I think Hawaii is much better than people give them credit for. Boise and Fresno are scary to play anywhere and I expect Boise to win their game against Oregon st.

I'd really like to see the best schools from the MWC and WAC combine to make a seriouly solid conference that could compete against the majors.

The NEW Mountain West conference should look something like this:

TCU, Utah, BYU, Wyoming, Colorado State, Fresno, Nevada, Hawaii, Boise, SDSU, Air Force, UTEP

Looks like it should be a BCS conference in my mind. Some great teams in there and certainly a much better conference than the Big East top to bottom.

As for the remaining WAC teams, combine them with the Sun Belt for now or relegate them to 1-AA. At this point SJSU would be fantastic at the 1-AA level as would most of the others. The jury is still out on Idaho. Dennis Erickson led them to just a 10-point loss to Michigan State. I think the Vandals are going to turn it around very soon.

One would have to consider both New Mexico and UNLV as well. Good all around sport schools imo. Montana aint bad either, not great, but not bad.

Yep, the blue turf will be showcased tomorrow night vs. the Beavers of Oregon State at 7PM ET/4 PT on ESPN. Should be a good game.

Wasted the Beavers 42-14 tonight. Great win for the Broncos. Beavers have a lot of question marks.

Yep, the Huskies are terrible. Should be a runaway from the getgo for the Bulldogs.

I really enjoy WAC football. I wish the conference were a little deeper this year. Fresno State has to be the biggest dissapointment this season. Boise State with Zbransky and Johnson look great. I hope the Broncos get an at large bid this year.
