Man.......I just don't know. It's going to be such a different team this year, there's no way I can even guess. Plus, I don't want to jinx it.
Boston College is never a gimme. They should sweep the last 4. USC, Mich are probably nos. I will be able to give a better guess after the GT game. |

I have them at 7-5 too. With losses to USC, UCLA, Michigan, Penn State and BC.
The Irish have a brutal schedule playing 4 Big 10 Schools, 2 ACC Schools and 2 Pac 10 teams. Of those 8 games only MSU and Purdue are lesser programs within their conference.

The QB race has been narrowed down to 2, instead of 3, with Zach Frazer out. No surprise there. but Gary Gray's out which is disheartening. EFF!

I'll split my votes amongst the two games that can be close, Boston College (a win) and UCLA (a loss). Notre Dame does play 7 patsies, and 3 very difficult teams. B.C. and UCLA will determine if the Irish season is a success or not. Weis is going to have to do something right over there pretty soon. This is year 3 and his team was a major disappointment last year.

Bulldogs all the way!

Ive got them going 6-6. They will beat GT to start the year, but will go on a 5 game losing skid afterwards. I see Michigan State upsetting ND in South Bend. MSU plays very well against ND and we've seen them beat them before. I also have Purdue pulling an upset. Joe Tiller will have his Boilers super pissed off and I think Purdue can make this one ugly. They are due for a win against ND.

7-5 the BC and penn state games are toss ups to me but i think they just have to much unexperience and key positions but its Charlie Weis and its notre dame automatic bowl bid

What really surprises me is that no one has picked them to beat UCLA in Pasadena. They will certainly be an underdog, but the way UCLA fans turn out for their games, the Irish may have as many fans there as UCLA has. I think UCLA is overrated. Sure they beat USC and return 20 starters, but what happened after USC? They got crushed by a mediocre 6-6 Florida State team. Consistancy is a major problem for UCLA, along with coaching. I picked UCLA, but that is certainly not a lock. If the price is right, the Irish may be a good play.

I also think that the Irish get past Michigan State, which will finish out of a bowl and in the lower rungs of the Big 10 again.
