The fact that Mich, ND, Pitt, and OSU can keep recruiting up given that they're in the crappy midwest has to say something doesn't it?
"while Michigan and Notre Dame lose in those very same games" Funny that they're the 2 most winning schools in history geesh.

Top combined recruiting classes, 2002-07 1. USC, 85 points 2. LSU, 59 3. Florida, 58 4. (tie) Tennessee Florida State, 55 6. Oklahoma, 54 7. Texas, 53 8. Georgia, 50 9. Miami, 40 10. Notre Dame, 24

Look at that HUGE difference. #1 USC 85 points, #10 Notre Dame 24. I guess being #10 means little or nothing. There is a tremendous drop off between Miami and Notre Dame, much less USC and Notre Dame.

Regardless of the difference, they still remain in the top 10 - while you are ridiculing them for not being able to recruit. Out of all of the schools. Top 10. And they are the ONLY team from the midwest to even hit that high.
Give credit where credit is due, they are doing good at recruiting and only getting better. If they weren't, I would be the first one to trust me...

All I am saying is that they do not come close to the teams that successfully recrui year aftr year. And that 10th place rating is hte HIGHEST that I have seen them rated. I have seen many lower. Not only that, but the Irish have failed to get their recruits to play up to the ability that they thought these recruits had. That is on coaching.

like another poster said, it'll be easier to tell after the GT game, but I honestly think they can lose 4 or 5 of their first seven games. I don't know if they will, but they are all "losable"

I'm gonna be interested to see how their QB situation turns out, and we'll see how good Weis really is at offense, when it's his recruits

has the season started? I'm ready right now
