I'm tempted to say Aki Berg, but seeing as how he doesn't coach and that this is a football forum...

John Madden!!!!!!

I'd have to give it to the Tuna. That man can really turn a club around

George Allen was also a great coach.

Guy loved veterans who were past their prime. Somehow, he could get them to play as if they were on adenaline.

I'll never forgive him for calling a timeout with less than one minute left to kick a field goal against a very hapless Giants team. 'Skins were up 69-41 at the time.

Paul Brown's another guy who should be mentioned.

Love Belichick and the incredible job he has done with the Pats recently, but this has to be Vince Lombardi.

I think Chuck Knoll is pretty underated as great coaches go.

All-pro DB with the Giants
Defensive coordinator opposite Vince Lombardi with the Giants
Invented the 4-3 Defense
29 years with Dallas as head coach, going 270-180-6
20 consecutive winning seasons
2 Super Bowls
5 NFC titles
13 Division titles
And that wondeful hat.

I have to respect Landry, even if I am a Giants fan and he did all his magic with Dallas.

Tom Landry was also such an inovative defensive coach with the Flex Defense.

And GiantFisch (any relations to DevilFisch?,) Tom Landry was a player-coach for the New York 'Football' Giants in the 1950's.
