Huge loss. Will be interesting too see what happens from here. Presumably they bring someone in from outside the organization.

Man there really is a god, I hope the Patriots crash and burn, they deserve EVERY loss they recieve this year.

Brett Favre will take the Jets to the playoffs.

Pats seem to be bringing in Chris Simms, I think it might help them back to somewhat normal... but I didnt see New England being that great going into this season, too old of a team. Maybe 12-4 or 13-3?
After the injury, no matter who the bring in this team will be lucky to go 8-8 at best.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least, they have the most legit shot at making the playoffs unless the Pats bring in some QB that actually has some game experience. With that said, im making my SB matchup prediction...again...

Dude that's harsh... I hate Bill and the Pats, but as far as I can tell Brady is a stand up guy... I'd never wish and injury like this on the leagues best player.

I don't think Chris Simms is gonna do anything spectacular, anytime soon. He's still kinda working his way back from an injury. And I saw him in Tampa Bay's training camp a few times this year....not too impressive. Quarterback lovin' Gruden didn't even want to keep him around.

I am a Packer fan all the way, but honestly Brett Favre is the reason I am a Packer fan and the way they mis-handled this situation I would actually be happy to see that happen and see Favre wipe the Packers from one side of the field to the other. I am a fan of the Pack but they mistreated the single greatest player to take a snap for them and that is saying something with the men who have suited up in Green Bay.

If him and his team had acted with any class or sportsmanship last year I wouldn't have said it, but I stand by what I said he is a d-bag that thinks he is hot **** and I loved seeing the Giants blow their "Destiny" and now this just proves pride cometh before the fall. The hate I have isn't totally at him more towards the organization and the coach who cheated and really got a pass and then ran up scores and all that crap. Now we can see how great the team really is, I will admit Brady is a great player but the injury is deserved both him and the organization. Its like the Yankees everyone loves to see them crumble after the years of domination they had, but the Patriots are so much worse because they are cheaters.

might just be me, but I think I'd take Simms over Cassel most anyday... unless the guy has really gone down hill since his tampa bay days.

Same Here! They should go get Frye from Seattle. Haha j/k. Seriously call Culpepper. That would be awesome Moss/Culpepper connection again.

This is a big loss, but I do think the Pats will continue to play as a team and make a strong bid for the playoffs. I bet they still go 10-6 or better.

Yea, we will see what a "genius" Belicheck is now....he was .395 with the Browns and 5-13 with the Patriots before Tom Brady.

Well I think that fact that teams can call their Ds in via radio is gonna be the bigger factor then Brady being out over all. that being said, I wouldn't doubt if Bilicheck goes out and get Daunte to come out, it would be in keeping with the pre-season rumblings about Randy and Daunte wanting to "finish what they started in Minni"... And Bilicheck's kind of been like Quintin Terantino when it comes to rebuilding people's careers... So who knows? I'd love to see it happen... Remember, Jr. Seau was picked up after he'd retired...

I don't like the Patriots at all but I do feel for bad for Tom Brady it is going to be strange not seeing one of the 2 best QBs in the NFL not playing this season. I also wonder how the so called genius will do with out his HOF QB. He has never had a winning season with out Tom Brady. We will find out this season if Bill Belichick is indeed a great HC or he won because he had a great QB.

If this truly brings the Pats back to mediocrity, I'd say the BILLS have the most legit shot in this division. Suddenly, this division is very winnable for them.

That was an impressive win over a GOOD Seahawks team.

Anyway, I like Cassel, I think he'll do decent enough. He's certainly got the weapons around him to get it done...s'not like they're throwing the kid to the wolves here...
