Given the choice, I would take Rothlisberger over Romo as well. Both QBs have the talent to put up big numbers when turned loose. Unlike Romo, Big Ben has also shown the ability to play smallball and win close games by avoiding mistakes and managing the game.
Rothlisberger is a very under-rated QB and deserves to be in consideration as one of the top-5 QBs in the game today. Past Manning and Brady, and perhaps Brees, there isn't anybody I can see that is definately better than him.

I would put Brees and Roethlisberger as 3A and 3B of the NFL behind Manning and Brady. Brees has a more pass happy offense.
Some might call me crazy, but just think about it... If you take away the
"Brady to Moss" connection in New England, and just look at the stats. Big Ben to me was the clear MVP frontrunner last season.
Plus where is Romo's super bowl ring? Even Eli has one
