Game Day Thread: Week 2
Sorry, I should have started this, oh, before 1 PM today.
So far the Giants are showing some life against Philly, but it's too little too late. OBVIOUS ALERT: Aaron Brooks and the Oakland Raiders suck. Currently down 21-3 to Baltimore. Carolina is keeping it close against Minnesota, 13-13. OBVIOUS ALERT #2: Indianapolis is creaming Houston 37-10.

Giants-somehow-pull off a late drive to tie it up and the game is in OT. Giants win the coin toss to get possession first. So naturally, the Giants are forced to punt in their drive. Greaaat.
Meanwhile, Minnesota beats Carolina in OT, the Patriots and Seahawks go up early in their games, and San Francisco is winning by 3 in their game against St. Louis so far. ASIDE: Thanks for the sticky.

THE GIANTS WIN IN OVERTIME! ELI OFF THE BACKFOOT THROWS A LOB TO BURRESS FOR THE TD CATCH AND THE WIN!
Giants won a game they had no right of winning! GO GIANTS Meanwhile New England marches down field for a FG to put them up 10-0 over the Jets in the 2nd quarter. San Diego scores on a LDT run to put them up 10-0 in the 2nd.

Holy Crap, Jericho Cotchery just made what could've been the play of the year.
He got hit by two guys, and his knee was millimeters from touching the ground, but he stayed up and went all the way. Luckily for the Pats they had a 24 point lead. |

A lot of people, myself included, thought the Jets would be soundly beaten. The fact that they kept it close at the end to nearly beat the Patriots. They didn't beat them, but maybe this game will show that the Jets aren't as bad as some may think.
So who had a worse time at quarterback this week? Daunte Culpepper or Aaron Brooks? Both were PUTRID.

i agree, the eagles got what they deserve today. the last half was unacceptable and i doubt i will see them do that again for the rest of the year. you get a bad taste in your mouth when you do that to yourself, and there will be a tenacity to not end up with that feeling again...it is one that this years team will not easily forget im sure. i think a lot of people underratted the eagles this year, its obvious they have the talent to look like they did two years ago as long as they play with purpose.

yes, i would be surprised to see a team like the Eagles do that two times in a season. they are definatly talented, and I'll admit, I underrated them myself but I can now see it will be a close battle for the NFC east. by the way any word on kearse? a part of me likes to see such a dangerous player on a rival team go down during the game but I would hate to see such a talented player be out for too long
