Cincinnati Bengals Chad Johnson is demanding a trade

Johnson says he won't attend team functions, demands trade
Quote:
Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson left no room for doubt Wednesday: He wants out of Cincinnati as fast as possible and he doesn't plan on reporting for any future Bengal function -- mandatory or voluntary.

What spurred Johnson's immediate reaction was a statement made by quarterback Carson Palmer that indicated Johnson had told Palmer he would be at the team's mandatory minicamp in mid-June. Johnson said that wasn't true.
Quote:
I want to be traded before the draft, and if that doesn't happen, I want to be traded as soon as possible,'' Johnson said. "I don't intend on reporting to anything.''
Now it starts to get interesting ....

Whoohoo, let's go Cowboys and trade for Chad Johnson, and get a killer complement for TO.

I think he does end up in the NFC East somewhere

Pick a place that has no #1 at the moment, with a ton of cap and that's where he'll be... Go Buccs, Titans, Falcons, Cheifs, Dolphins, Viks, Raiders, Seahawks... Those are my thoughts... I know not as narrow as some would like, but Buccs, Phins, Titans are my pics as the top to play for 85!

It was said best on Total Access. Offer him to the Cowboys, and if they don't offer high enough, tell them that someone else in the division will go higher, cause everyone in that division wants him.

Yeah, but... And here's where it's really at, I think... He wants to be #1... The only way he'd got to Dallas is if they:

1. Traded Owens in the deal... Fat chance...
2. Give away a 1st round for him... Fat chance
3. Offer him a ton of cash... Maybe, but not if 1 and 2 have to happen first.

So, I know, I'm not a lawyer or anything, but what is a contract good for in sports these days?

In the NFL, they're good for nothing. and that goes both ways. Teams don't respect player contracts either.

Chad wants to go to a contender, and has said on occasion that he wants to be traded to Dallas. I would love to see him here, and I don't think he will mind playing across from TO. He said at this past Pro Bowl that TO was his idol, so I think he would love to come play with TO and play for a contender. If anything Ocho-Cinco has to be thinking of how amazing it would be to play on a team with three or four serious aerial threats, an explosive back, and one of the best young arms in the biz.

Can you imagine the TD celebrations if he were to be a Cowboy. I can picture them now, both trying to one-up each other

The Eagles may just try to get him too. Plus the cowboys cap would destroy them.
