I think he has potential to be a really good WR with the right QB. T Jackson isnt really to good i think he would have been a better fit with the eagles.

While the Vikes' WRs sucked, Jackson was just as bad. Even on the rare occasions in which a WR would get open, it was still 50/50 if Jackson would get the ball on target. Put another way, Kordell Stewart was better at dissecting a defense.

this would have been a good signing for KC. I guess they want to suck for another year. Unfortunately their schedule is too easy for them to get a top pick.

This needs to be T-Jack's defining year, the Vikes can ill-afford to continue to stay the course if he's not the franchise guy. He'll no longer have greasy hands to make him look bad so he better put up good numbers with Berrian

Well....did the Vikings just add another WR with questionable hands? When the Cowboys played the Bears he got behind the defense a few times....you can guess what he did though. Let the ball bounce right off his hands

Jackson stats were 171 completions for 1911 yards and 9 TD's. Berrian had about 2/3's of Jackson's receptions about half of the yards and over half of the TD's. This is all with Rex Grossman/Brian Griese/Kyle Orton playing QB. To say he is not a great addtion is blasphemy.

But Grossman has one thing that makes Berrian look great: a fantastic deep ball. When it comes to running in a straight line very fast, Berrian has shown that he can beat most every CB.

While Grossman has wretched games, he also has some amazing ones. Jackson varies between wretched and marginal. His best isn't even in the same league as what Grossman's best has been. Berrian is grossly overpaid. While he fits a position of dire need, we added a glorified #2 with suspect hands who is really only great at the deep ball to a team with a bad QB that runs a WCO. More so, Jackson's weakest pass is the deep ball. He has no accuracy. I would have rather have added a big physical WR who can work short routes with reliable hands. Berrian is destined to be our #2. Either to Rice or to whomever we get to be our #1 in the future.

I would agree with you that he is a #2 receiver on most teams. Right now, that can't be said for the Vikings. He is our guy. Yes the Vikings over paid him but whats new? What average player have the Vikings not over paid?

I'm not saying Berrian is better by any means but don't say that we can't bring up Owens when we are talking about dropped passes. He was tied for 3rd this year with 10.

All too true. What is worrisome is that huge cap room bonus we built up during Red McCombs is starting to dry up. And, other than Hutchinson, the past three seasons have been spent adding nobody of note.
