Yeah Pennington, Harrington, and Carr if he's starting could be in there as well.

Right now? As in the injury-depleted depth charts?
28- Lemon. Has little to work with and a poor line on top of it.
29- Smith. OK, so he doesn't have much help. But he has regressed badly.
30- McCown. He has no presence what-so-ever.
31- Gray. His play may have ended the Jags play-off hopes.
32- Jackson. A disaster showing no improvement.
To be fair though, much of that list wasn't expected to be starters.

Honorable mentions:
-Harrington: Actually having a "decent" year all things consided. Not a starter, but competent as a #2.
-Testeverde: Hard to pick on the old fart.
-Grossman: At least he can have his "on" games where he looks great.
-Young: Stinking it up as a passer, but making plays with his legs. And winning. That keeps him out of the bottom-5.

But if you want to talk about EXPECTED starters:
28) Grossman. No consistency.
29) Green. The guy looked poor last year even before he got hurt.
30) Huard. They seriously thought he would be good enough?
31) Russell. How slow of a learner can this guy be if he isn't taking any snaps yet?
32) Jackson. An unmitigated disaster.

Let's don't forget Leinert in that expected to start list

I would put Leinert as an honorable mention. Yes, he has had a poor year. But it is only a 5-game sample against some rather good secondaries (the Rams the lone exception). I think, had he stayed healthy, his numbers would have come up over the course of the season. Still bottom-half mind you, but bottom-10 to 15. Those other guys have stunk (or can't beat out stinky starters in the case of Russell) and will either continue to stink or gave no reason to think they would change before going on IR.

I think of it as who would I think would give me the best chance to win a game. I would take Leinart over those 5.

McCown did well in the first game or two before getting hurt, compared to raider QBs of the past
and the Jags went 2-1 while Gray was the starter, so they are far from being out of the playoffs

He has been sacked once every 9 times he drops back and has twice as many turnovers as TDs. He looked decent in a loss to the Lions, but has stunk since.

With Gray doing almost nothing in both of those games. He had 201 yards in those games... combined.

I agree he is bottom 5 while he's a starter. He barely threw any passes and for good reason. Poor accuracy. Still, he didn't screw up bad enough since they went 2-1 in those games. Far from ending the playoff hopes. It may have ended them, but it didn't. He still comes out of those 3 games with a QB rating in the 80's, not bad. Definitely a good thing Garrard is back for this weekend though.

Anyhow, what are the Vikes going to do? Hopefully they can snag themselves a quality QB high in the draft. I unfortunately know nothing about the first round QB's this year other than Brohm who I hear may have been surpassed by others.
