price of tickets?

What do you guys think about the going rate for a ticket to a game? My son wants me to take him to see a game. But by the time you pay for the tickets, food, souviner, and parking i'm broke. Since he's only seven i think i'll wait until he gets a little older when he can apprieciate the game a little more.

Well it all depends, you can wait until he's older and hope that he "appreciates " it....or you can bring him now and know that he will be more easily amused and entertained.

Personally at the price I would rather entertain him and amuse him elsewhere. I'm sure I can think of something. Thanks for your comment.

games

we take our kids to minor league baseball games to start, a few bucks, a nice experience...occassional pro baseball since the price is smaller than football, but honestly, they aren't into the entire game yet...it's a lot of money

I agree with Solar. If he enjoys the game of football and wants to watch a game or two bring him to a local high school game or Pop-Warner. I'm sure there are some colleges in the area that have a football team.

It'll save you some money and you can teach him at the same time the rules of the game.

You'll be missing the jumbo tron and $5 hotdogs, $6 beers, $15 "we're number one" fingers, $12 parking and $65 tickets prices but not any fun value at first. (that sounded like a Visa commercial sorry)

Then when you can save up a few bucks you can bring him to an NFL game

I'm a college student, therefore poor, and cannot afford to go to any pro football games. Some of my friends, however, purchase season tickets. The truth is, I just have other things I'd rather (and need) to spend money on before buying football tickets.

AAA ball is great fun to go watch and will cost you next to nothing. Or wait until the first half inning is over for a MLB game and get a scalper by the neck!!

Take your son to a game, doesnt matter the price. Think about how happy he'll be to go to any game with his dad and just watch football. Thats priceless..

It's probably a good idea to wait until he's older. I have two nephews and when they were around that age their attention span at sporting events wasn't always that long. Except for monster trucks. Then, they could stay awake for days at a time if they had to!

That's easier said than done. Not many of us print money as a hobby (no offence). And if the kid is just 7, maybe he should have some other interestt than pro football.
