I have no idea how it takes to heal but I imagine he is out for a bit.

What is the average recovery time from appendicitis anyway?

Wow, I had no idea. Relatives of mine have had appendectomies; recovery time varies from person to person. You want to make sure the incision heals completely before placing any stress on it. If his appendix ruptured before it was removed, it would take him longer to recover.

Wow, the man survives his Motorcycle Accident, and recovers enough to play, then gets hit by this.......

What a way for the Steelers to start the season, out their QB, and it wasn't from a sports injury. I had a family member have this done, and they were down for a couple of weeks, and they don't get hit from HUGE men every week......
