Week 1 Predictions

Since the Pre Season games have been interesting, to say the least, let's see how good some of us are at predicting any 1 Game, from week 1 of the regular season. Those of us that have played "Pickem" type games every year, know that as the season goes along, game outcomes become a little easier to predict. It's the week 1 games, that are hard to judge, since we haven't seen the teams play a full 4 Quarters yet.......

I will take my week one prediction, that Denver will win at St. Louis. The Rams are pretty good at home, but I still think their Defense needs work....

SF over Cardinals

I'm picking my hometown 49ers to down the Cardinals and spoil their new stadium debut. SF owes them some payback for last season's Mexico City debacle.

Seattle Seahawks

Road opener in Detroit . . . I like Seattle. They got to the show but didn't get
to taste. They're on a mission and Holmgren knows it's one game a time
starting with game one. So road opener or not, I like the Seahawks.

This should be part of a survivor thread. Willing to put your picks up on that? Arizona is my pick for week 1. SF is still horrible and it is probably the best chance to pick a team like Arizona for the pool.

If there are 2 games that I would consider week 1 locks (as of this minute, anyway), it would be the Eagles winning over Houston, and, Payton beating up on Eli in the Manning Bowl.

Eagles -3
Colts -3

These are the curent lines. I think they're both pretty generous in only giving 3 points. I know they're both on the road, but I don't believe it matters in the given situations.

I have to go with my brain to say Tennessee over the Jets... My heart says Jets, so I'll be rooting against this prediction.

I think the Giants will beat the Colts. It will be a playoff atmosphere in the Meadowlands, and we know how Peyton reacts when he hears the word "playoffs".

HAHAHA... Very good, Gobolt! However, what if that reaction runs in the bloodline... From their mother's side, of course. If so, there will be a LOT of turnovers, and I don't mean the kind tailgaters will be eating with their coffee in the parking lot!

I'm a Jets fan but seeing the Giants pound the Colts would bring a very large smile to my face
