Browns won. Frye is a garbage QB that doesn't perform, and they actually get something for him. Teams should have been smart and waited until he was cut, then they wouldn't have to give up anything.

Frye lost a lot. He goes from being a starter to being a bench player who'll never see the field. He was going to be gone after this year because of Quinn, but now he leaves with the resume of a guy who got worse as time went on. Had he stepped up and earned his job, he'd have at least been brought in to fight for jobs elsewhere in the league.

Frye wins....he gets paid to ride the bench of a winning team. Quinn gets to move up behind a weak offensive line and no running game.

Quinn won't play this year, at least, I'll be really surprised if he does. The Browns just signed Ken Dorsey to backup Anderson. Quinn will be fine eventually but he'll sit out most of this year if not all of it. The Cowboys are gonna be happy cuz the Browns might end up being the worst team in the league.

They signed Dorsey to mentor Quinn. In a few weeks, Quinn will step in as the starter. Dorsey is there to teach and not to play.

Judging by the comments of the Brown's GM, they'll be playing Quinn this season.
ESPN - Bye Frye: Browns deal QB to Seattle - NFL
Quote:
Savage said starting Quinn has been discussed, and that the former Notre Dame star could soon be under center.

"I think there is a feeling that he's certainly closer to being ready to play," Savage said. "We want to be able to give him a full gamut of plays and give him a chance to have some success. I don't know if that happens in two weeks, four weeks, six weeks.

"The important thing in the big picture is that we develop Brady Quinn in the right way. That is the most important thing that we have to do this year and that's what we're trying to do this year. And, win."

Frye won't start unless Hasselbeck is hurt.

Therefore, a hypothesis could be determined this way:

Test 1: The Browns traded Charlie Frye
Test 2: The Seahawks traded for Charlie Frye
Solution: Therefore, the Seahawks won by trading for Frye

1: The Browns were going to cut Frye.
2: The Seahawks instead gave up a pick to get Frye.
Solution: The Browns won by getting anything for Frye.

For the record, Hasselbeck is the starter and Seneca Wallace is his backup, so Frye plays if both get hurt.

Yeah, I know. Don't remind me. Hasselbeck is injury-prone, and Wallace is good; he isn't a starting-caliber QB, however.

I think people are forgetting the Holmgren factor here. he's a QB MASTER. he made Matt Hasselbeck, and I think he could do things with Frye.
