Football Food and Booze
Only 2 weeks to go! One thing I need to figure out is... what will I be eating and drinking on opening day? I think I'll keep it pretty standard. Get the fryer out and go with some wings. I rarely do this because it is so bad for you, but I'll admit, wings are my weakness. 1/2 bottle spicy hot BBQ sauce, 1/2 bottle Franks, half stick of butter, coarse black pepper, salt, and basil. Mmmm, I'll be good to go. Probably wash it down with a 6 pack of Lagunitas Brew Co., Censored.
One of the best things about watching football, to me, is the football food. What will all of you be cooking up on opening day? BBQ? Wings? What about the beer / alcoholic / non-alcoholic drinks? |

Pizza and beer is my football food. Freschetta 4-Cheese Sauce Stuffed & Digiorno Wheat Crusts are my favorite frozen pizzas and Uno's Deep Dish Spinoccoli would be my choice for takeout. My beer of choice would be any dark beer and right now I'm enjoying the Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat.

But hey, the Preds should be decent next year if Vokoun is healthy. I don't think it would have made the difference against my Sharks in the 1st round, but... ![]() |

Three words: deep fried turkey. Is quick and easy, and can feed a bunch of people. Takes about 45 minutes for a medium-sized bird. Take a turkey, rub with cajun seasoning, deep fry...delicious!
And beer of course. |

I am very healthy when it comes to eating, and football season is when i break most of my rules. Opening day usually is a pizza, chicken wings...tostitos and salsa.
Some beer (not much) Cornona's w/limes....and the Sam Adams Cherry Wheat kicks a**. |
