Agreed. It's a good thing for everyone, imo. Vick will get his day in court and could even be found innocent, but his would face such an incredible amount of furor from the fans across the country. He just doesn't have any business on the field this season.

It sucks for the Falcons that they won't have Vick, but under the circumstances, having him at camp would be disastrous.

yea, definitely a smart mpve by goodell...the longer he is in office the more and more I am becomign to like him...

vick needs to earn his right to step on the gridiron and even if he is found innocent, he has brought a lot of negative press to himself and thus the league...

I don't believe Goodell told Vick that he wasn't aloud to go to Training Camp, he just recommended that Vick stay away.

This is the right move. I think the Falcons are better off, like many have said. Vick would be a far cry from himself with all this off-the-field stuff to deal with IMO

No. Goodell has specifically ordered Vick to not attend training camp, but he will still get his preseason pay. There is no need to chastise anyone for their opinion, let them have their say … you have your say then keep it moving. If this turns into a bash thread based on opinions, it will get closed down faster than an XFL franchise.

I guess it's like any other charges against anyone else in this free society. To wit: Found-tried and convicted in the MEDIA ,and the sentence IS stay home.
The problem as I see it is people read it or hear it and then BELIEVE it. AHA, unless it's one of their own, so I guess Vick is not one of Goodells own and no need to back him up ,at least until he is found one way or the other in court. Hopefully if he goes before a jury it will be made up of his PEERS,right.
Just my thoughts.

Vick is not allowed to practice with the Falcons.
