TheFallenOne's Challenge

Are you a mastermind or a windbag? Lots of speculation after the draft,... always been that way on every football forum I've seen. People insist that player X is gunna do this or team Y will do that, even though FA is still underway...even though we've yet to start training camps or get through the preseason with our teams in one piece. A lot of hot air being blown around if you ask me.

Answers these questions so we know NEXT year, who to listen to in May/June ...and who to ignore. Each of these 20 questions allows for 5 answers. At one point per correct answer, maximum score = 100. Answers are not rankable. Simply list the correct individual or team (any order) within the statistical top-5 to get the associated point. NFL.com official stats will decide what constitutes a correct answer.

SCORING INDEX

0 points = CHICKEN TURD. Too afraid to try this? CTs have no right posting on these boards unless in the form of a question.

1-20 points = NOOB. A 'noob' needs to shut the hell up during the offseason and pay more attention to his wiser peers.

21-40 points = TYPICAL JOE BLOW. This guy knows a bit but can't distinguish himself from the masses of casual NFL fans out there.

41-60 points = NFL VETERAN. Vet's have enough knowledge and experience to get most of the answers correct and, hence, may be worthy of your attention occasionally.

61-80 points = FANTASY CONTENDER. Contenders, will frequently challenge for dominance in a typical 12-team fantasy league. Usually only bad injury luck or a freak NFL game event keeps these guys away from a title or runner-up slot.

81-100 points = FANTASY CONSULTANT. When a consultant posts something, you should probably pay attention. These are the guys you want answering your weekly lineup questions.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Review the following questions. Read them carefully.

2. Prepare you answers and PM (private message) them to me so no one else can poach your thoughts. DO NOT POST THEM HERE PLEASE.

NOTE: I just joined these boards and have no connection to anyone here including mods or admin. Your PMs are safe with me.

3. Deadline for a submission is June 15th, at which time, I will post everyone's submission at the same time, date-marked, in the order received.

4. Once posted, I'll ask admin to lock the thread until the close of Week 17, at which time results will be tallied and resulting ranks assigned. Don't be a CHICKEN TURD!

5. I'll post first so all those people who are sending me submissions by PM can rest assured that I won't be using their responses as the basis for my own. I'll post by Wednesday May 9th.

Clarification for QUESTION D

Here's a PM I got and response provided:

Quote:
what does starter in 2006 mean? like the start of the year or the whole season?
ANSWER

Quote:
Number one on the depth chart.

For example Jeff Garcia would not be considered the 'starter' for the Eagles in the 2nd half of the (2006) season. He only played because McNabb went down.

Jay Cutler, however, would be the starter for the second half of the (2006) season, because Shanahan made the decision to bench Plummer.

Hope that clears it up.

I am all for the concept, but it is too long. if you make it like 5 questions , I will play. Guessing a kickers accuracy means nothing......

Not necessarily. You have to select a K in most fantasy leagues so I threw it in as the 20th question. You can look at a K's historical success, his age, whether he plays at home in a dome, how effective his team is inside the red zone.

I agree it's pretty futile, but not totally.

No problem regarding amendments, so long as I get your PM before June 15th expires.

We have 5 entries now. Not a bad response rate so far. Hopefully we can get at least 10.

You can. I can't. Just PM me closer to the June 15th deadline with ALL your changes at once please. I don't want to get confused with too many independent PM's
