What City should get an expansion Team

either an expansion team or a team moves, who do you think could best support an NFL franchise.

My call would be for San Antonio, since they are the largest city(population) without a football franchise and we all know how Texas loves they're football

Toronto AINEC. They've been Clay Aiken for NFL football for quite sometime and would support it in spades. They're ready to ditch CFL I can feel it.

can you imagine the audience a team from Vegas would have? haha! LA killed their chances by asking for too much, San Antoinio would be next in line after LA, and Toronto and Mexico City are huge stretches

How about none. There are plenty of NFL teams.

San Antonio and Portland both would be ideal cities for expansion both have consistent good attendance within the NBA. Football is huge in Texas and Oregon the same cant be said of the other regions in this poll.

Toronto would be a disaster full of empty seats on sundays. look at the Bluejays and Raptors.

I couldn't see any big free agents going up there and they would have a hell of a time resigning players whom they drafted.

I think so to but what’s really funny was that there was an article with Goddell saying Toronto might get a franchise within 10 years (rumors of Buffalo Bills moving to Toronto)... i think the Canadian Market is to fickle to experiment with and would only bring the league down, the CFL isn’t even popular in Toronto and I doubt that they would support an NFL franchise I guess Goddell was banking on the rest of Canada supporting this move but it would be a disaster from jump...please don't do it

I agree, there are just the right amount if not to many teams right now. It isint college football and any team should have a realistic shot of winning the superbowl every year. Too many teams dilutes the talent and entertainment value of the NFL. Toronto can barely get a crowd for CFL games how do they expect to support a NFL franchise. Get a franchise in Nebraska. Nebraska could be the New England of the mid west.

I'd move the Raiders to LA, then Vegas.

But I don't see any of these happening, the most likely is the Raiders move. Vegas is too deep in gambling to ever allow it to occur.

Do you guys remember when the CFL expanded their league by adding American teams? I can't remember what teams there were, I think there was a Baltimore team or something like that, but anyways, it was a huge hit up here in Canada. Alot of people liked it. Even though it took the "C" out of CFL, people loved it up here. I don't know if they would get a big crowd if they expanded up here or not, but (correct me if i'm wrong) I think some NFL teams are going to be coming up here for a pre-season or regular season game. It's part of that deal where their gunna play some games in Europe, Mexico, and Canada next year. Anyways, what i'm trying to say is, I guess we'll see how big of a show up they get when an NFL team comes up here for a game or two (I'm assuming they will either play in Toronto or here in Vancouver, nowhere in between).

Sacramento, Las Vegas (i think), and the Baltimore Stallions who tore up the league. Canadians dont want American teams in the "C"FL and understandably so. Its a uniquely Canadian institute and should sink or swim on its on. AS IS WITH THE NFL.

Well, there is alot of people up here that wouldn't mind American teams, trust me man, I live up here, and it sucks knowing that your team will ALWAYS make the playoffs hahaha. And we've run out of cities to support another CFL team.

GW - you say that now but you guys drove away the Vancouver Grizzlies, when we tried to include America Jr....Montreal drove away the Expos, and Toronto Bluejays have won 2 world series and they still can't get no support and let's not even talk about the Raptors; they can't keep no talent on that team cause no one wants to play there...i mean honestly i think it would be a bad move the only thing that Canada would support is hockey and if only the Western parts of Canada supports CFL why the hell would they support the NFL.......You know what would happen the League would turn into a bunch of Revenue sharing muffins just like MLB and the brunt of it would fall on the shoulders of every other Owner in the league...It won't work. let's be realistic it's the year 2006 ...why hasn't the NFL already established itself in Canada already, i mean if you look at it every other major League sport has reached out and touched you guys...that's because they know it wouldn't be cost effective. The CFL is meant for Canada which is there own thing and that's great, while the NFL is meant for America, that's just how it is (and no offense to Canada i was just making some points in my argument, i mean without you guys we don't have round bacon and bitter beers....1 luv)

I know... Oakland deserves an NFL team to replace the minor-league group they have there now.
