Following a tragic defeat against the 49ers on Monday's game, the Cardinals fell by 3 points. However, their passing game (their strength) was rendered "anemic" and the run was "superb."

On the opening drive, Leinart threw an interception to 49ers CB Walt Harris, who returned it for a touchdown. Not a good way to start the season.

Maybe there is a "curtain" for the Cardinals' falty offense. Will they be the Steelers of 2004 and 2005? Whisenhunt is implementing a disciplined football team. Run more, whine less.

The 49ers secondary was pretty stout and it wasn't like those guys had free range out there. I saw a similar thread like this on another site. You can't expect Whisenhunt to have everything down pat in his first game at the helm.

Yes, he'll incorporate more of a run game in 2 back formations but he will also utilize his receiving weapons as well. He hasn't destroyed anything .... yet.

It's only 1 game and there is no way anyone can call him to the carpet just yet. Lets give him some time before we presume his offense has been stagnated by the run.
