Seattle Seahawks Seahawks...cursed or not?

The curse of the super bowl loser has plagued every losing team since 2000 (Giants, Rams, Raiders, Panthers, Eagles) all of them have missed the playoffs the following year)...do the Seahawks follow suit this year, or will they make it back to the playoffs? My money is on them winning the division again, but not by nearly as big a margin (Arizona will be way better). What do you guys think?

honestly there is almost no competition in their division. i agree that they will probably win the division but arizona might give them a run for their money. even if they don't win it, they should get a wild card spot.

Seattle will make the playoff as they are in agruably the weakest division in football. I don't think Seattle's receiving corps are as good as they project which still isn't that great. Arizona is the best bet to make a run of it, but in the end I would be shocked if the 'Hawks didn't end up with a wild card at least.

And banking on a respectable season from the Cards is a fool's errand.

Agreed 100%. Although I've been burned in the past with such predictions, I would imagine the Super Bowl curse ends this season.

I hope they aren't but the way they are playing in the preseason it's not looking promising.

Preseason doesn't count for anything. Second stringers and others get more minutes to try and get a back-up position or a spot on the practice squad. I wouldn't worry so much about preseason results.

If Seattle doesn't win their division either this is the year the Arizona Cardinals get it together and/or the Seahawks crash and burn in spectacular and horrifying fashion. It's still their division to lose. So, to answer the original post's query, no, the Seahawks will make the playoffs.

Does that mean that Seattle may have a "Double Curse" this year, since they lost the Superbowl last year, and Alexander is on the new Madden NFL Game......

Madden Curse didn't seem to affect Ray Lewis at all back in 2005
