WHY?

first Joe Horn now Michael Lewis? they're dumping my heroes
they also released Willie Whitehead who i thought was a very good backup he'll start somewhere

Reggie Bush is their new KR player. No need to take two spots up on the roster when one will do nicely. Horn is getting long in the tooth and suffers too many nagging injuries. He is a cap casualty. Whitehead was penciled in to be a starter last year and ended up as a back up. His performance really did not impress me, and aparently did not impress anyone on the Saints either.

He couldn't stay on the field the last 2 seasons. I liked him too and he obviously had a wonderful story not to mention he's fielded more kickoffs than anyone in Saints history but it was inevitable. With the signing of Kendrick Clancy the Saints should have a pretty decent rotation up front in place so Whitehead was expendible.

yea i dont think this is a huge loss, more playing time for bush so its all good in my books, only time will tell tho

The more Bush is on the field the better IMHO and agree that both were expendable.
