Vick's Going Down

Here are two independent reports. You draw your own conclusions, but to me, it means Joey Harrington for President at some point in '07.

Quote:
Falcons | Goodell makes strong statement to Vick
Thu, 10 May 2007 09:56:27 -0700

Don Banks, of SI.com, reports NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell talked with Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Vick at the 2007 NFL Draft and told Vick he could not go unpunished for breeding dogs for illegal fighting. Goodell, during a television interview, said, "I was very clear with Michael. In my mind, that is your responsibility. People living in your house and people on your property is your responsibility. That is not an excuse from my standpoint, and I made that clear to Michael Vick.''
Quote:
Falcons | Vick reportedly aware of dog fighting
Thu, 10 May 2007 09:19:28 -0700

ESPN.com reports two friends of Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Vick believe that he was involved with the illegal dog fighting that occurred at a house he owns in Virginia, according to a story on SI.com. Another source told SI.com that Vick has an "affinity" for the culture surrounding the illegal activity.
SI and ESPN are pretty solid in their reporting. They get it wrong sometimes, but rarely.

There is no way he wasn't involved in the dog fighting. He knew about it, hell they already found the web site he had for breeding these dogs that listed an address in the same city. He's screwed, he will get charged, he will get convicted (I hope), Goodell will suspend his sorry stupid ass, and hopefully I wont have to hear his name associated with the QB position ever again. Fry his ASS Roger... Fry it. I am sick of Vick.

Yeah it sucks for Atl fans.. and I like Atl. But that's what they get for selling their soul to Vick. They could've had LT and Brees and be winning SB titles right now.

I can honestly agree with you ... He should be locked up for a month or two and see what happens when you break the law

Chicago Bears

He will get two games minimum, maybe 4. Kind of runs in the family doesn't it? Just another example of an alarming trend that is rearing it's ugly head in the NFL. More and more colleges are "hiring" players to play for their teams by giving them scholarships. These players have no business being in college, because they have little, if any intelligence. So when these players get to the pros, they think that the NFL owes them a living. They actually think that they have a place in life other than football. Most of these clowns would be in prison if it were not for football. They certainly do not have enough intelligence to hold a job. Goodell is making a statement. THe NFL will not become another NBA. It is time to rid the NFL of the Ricky Williams, Pacman Jones, Michael Vick mentality that is ruining the game. Get rid of them all. No one is going to miss them. I do noat see any championship rings on any of those fingers.

I dont know if Vick should get suspended but i think he will be released or traded in the next season or two. He production is low he is havin too many off the field issues and i think the fans are fed up with it. They shouldnt have paid him so much and the shouldnt have traded schaubb

I doubt they release or trade him in the next year or two - if that was there plans, they would have done it and kept Schaub

I sense the end of Nike's The Vick Experience campaign. His endorsement dollars are dwindling.

I mean if allegations are true - this is sick and on par with the other lawbreakers in the NFL. (besides Carruth - no longer in league)

1-year Suspension would send a message.

If he's found to be complicit in it, and it seems that he will, he should be suspended for the year. What he's involved in is a despicable act of cruelty. The NFL is a league that makes a real effort to come across as an upstanding organization and too not lower the boom on Vick for this would be hypocricy of monumental proportions.
