Sorry, as a Packers fan I couldn't resist a shot. Your team sure looks a lot closer than ours right now. But your skill positions all need upgrading. I'm surprized the defense isn't performing better with all the money spent on free agents the last few years. Isn't the defense going to get too old while the offense is improving over the next few years? It seems to me that the timing of team development is off. The point about revenue streams is a good one also. The team has to be viable as a business too.

Here in Wisconsin at least most of the team is young. If it turns out that Thompson actually knows what he is doing, maturity should come to the team in a few years. If he turns out to be the idiot we fear he is, the team here will be bad for a long time.

My guess, we are 2 or 3 years off from thinking about SuperBowl. Defense isn't that old. By that time, assuming we resign our studs, only Pat Williams (33), Sharper (30) and maybe Winfield (29) are potential probems. The rest will be in their prime.
