Gus Ferrotte named Vikings quarterback.

Starting 0-2 will do that I guess, kiss Tavaris Jackson goodbye for this season. It was reported on ESPN today.

I didn't even know Gus was still active... As in I thought he ahd thrown in the towel a while back... But with the apparent lack of targets, one has to wonder where the Vikes will go this year in F/A and the draft...

When Frerotte becomes the "better" option, you are screwed.

If Gus doesn't pull through, we can only hope Childress is kicked to the curbside like Jackson.

I think the Vikings brass think that Gus gives them a chance to make a playoff push this year still, delusional or not. They do have a great defense and a great running game.

True, but...I think JD has a better arm in all honesty to hit Berrian

Because Booty royally sucked ass even against 3rd stringers in the pre-season:

I was wondering who else was on that roster. When I heard about Jackson I thought they coulda found a better option. Guess they shoulda snagged Favre...
Anyone know if A.P. is still starting thes week, heard something about a hammy issue.

Great move for us, IMO. I think this gives us a shot to at least win a few games with Peterson demanding 8 man boxes, Gus can at least make a few throws a game against single coverage and one safety deep.

You mean to tell me that Tavaris Jackson is not the next Tom Brady?!

NO that can't be true.

That is why I never bought the crap the talking-heads were selling about the Vikings taking the division from the Pack.

The thing is, he didn't have to be the next Tom Brady to make Minnesota a challenger for the division, he really only had to be Trent Dilfer...and well, it turns out he's not even in Dilfer's league.

The Vikings have some tough games ahead, I wouldn't count Travaris Jackson out for the season to soon.

Only way Jackson ends up back under center is if the Vikes fall out of play-off contention and Booty bombs.
