Kitna Smoking Crack Again

Predicting 10 wins and playoffs in 2008:
Lions' Kitna maintains high expectations

I guess if he makes the prediction enough years in a row, eventually he'll have to be right.

Right?

What,... up until the point that he retires? The Lions have little if anything on defense and a non-existent running game. We'll see how they fare with a new Offensive Coordinator, Kitna can be a decent QB if he wasn't always on his back. Maybe all these claims he's making can be used as evidence that links concussions to brain injury? (Sorry that was mean, but I had to...)

The Power Rankings article mentioned in another thread points out that the Lions haven't won ten games in a season since 1995.

Wow...

Gosder Cherilus should be a nice addition on the line, although not great. Leigh Bodden fills a gap, and Calvin Johnson should be healthy this year, so WRs should be nice. Not 10 wins, but 9

For some reason I think they are going to win 5 or less this year, because I could be wrong but I think Mike Martz was a big reason they were a (or pretended to be) a powerful offense. Martz is a genious when it comes to Offenses and I can see them really being hurt when their O-coordinator is now their old OFFENSIVE LINE COACH!

You really have got to be kidding me the guy who coach a line to allow 51 sacks last year, he gets the O-Coordinator job.

Look at the 49ers they had Norv Turner as their Coordinator they were mid 20's for Offense not the best but they were building (it was better than 32 in 2005).

Norv leaves SF and 2007 they are 32nd again, SF didn't hire another Coordinator that was respectable they promoted one in house. I know SF had injury problems but still they regressed.

I see the Lions doing the same thing, so my guess 5 wins or less.

I'm saying less then 4 even... I mean, there are still talks about moving Williams around. Their backfield is terrible. Their D isn't super fantastic and now there is word that there are all kinds of instability within the organisation as well... I love the Lions, I just wish they played like lions and less like lambs. Barry was the last good thing to happen there... And Kitna, well lets face it, you've got to get into the papers one way or another. If it's not winning, it's for loosing... I think he was just trying to see what it's like not to have to explain a loss for once... Since it'll likely be one of the last times he's gonna get the chance to do so once the season starts.

Detroit Lions Funny...

I still remember when Matt Millen was given the GM job. He was a commentator and in the middle of the broadcast, he was congratulated by his partner on his new gig of GM for the Lions.

I remember laughing my ass off and saying "Wow...this douche is one of the worst NFL commentators ever (if not THE worst) and the Lions are turning over the future of their team to him???? I hope he's a better GM than he is a commentator, because when I hear him call a game I want to stab myself in the eye."

Sorry, Lions fans... My "hope" was not enough for you...
