Weaker D? Most "experts" called that a top 3 defense in the NFC... it's what was going to carry them to a Superbowl this year according to the talking heads.

Amen to that.

The Packer D is good, but not dominant like the Bears of old or even the Bears of two seasons ago; I'd even go out on a limb and say the Dallas D is better.

For real... Didn't impress as much as I'd have hopped were I a Vikes fan... They just don't have the same pop to em as a Jacksonville, Carolina, Bears, Buccs, and apparently the Bills this season... Oh well, prognosticators can make mistakes as well...

The Pack is back.
The Bears D looks awesome.
The Vikings look like.....the Vikings.
The Lions are where they have always been.

Looks like order has been restored in our universe!

At any rate another SOLID game for Mr. Rodgers... I know it was the Lions but a gusty fourth and he looked good the whole time IMO.

RE: Vikes D, looked a lot better today until the 2nd half... Maybe the Pack just played that well last week!

So the bum blew it up... He had to go and run that ball... You know, sometimes coaches have to remind their players that being overly agressive in those kinds of situations is stupid... Everybody wants to win, but a guy like him with hsi track record and a lack of a decnt back up has to play smarter then that!!!

Its like I have said all along, if Rodgers were to get hurt (shoulder) the pack would be in trouble.

Would the Packers be 2-3 if Favre were still the QB? I know the comparison gets old, but I just want to know what you guys think.

The way the rest of the team has been playing yeah they probably would be, look at this last game for example I will give you some stats.

Green Bay Atlanta
1st downs 21 22
3rd down eff 7/13 6/12
Total Yards 417 370
Passing 313 194
Rushing 104 176
Turnovers 1 1
Penalties 2 (15 yards) 9 (97 yards)

Ok don't put this all on Rodgers, least of all the Atlanta game hell I think he was one of the only ones dressed to win that game and he had a messed up shoulder.

So of those 9 penalties one sticks out in my mind on a Field Goal it was good but there was holding nullifying the kick and pushing them back and they missed the second try. Wait a minute how many points did we loose by OH THATS RIGHT 3.

I am very disappointed in the coaching of the Atlanta game that is a disgracful performance, the defense couldn't stop a 12 year old it seems like and the damn penalites I don't care if you are Joe Montana you can win with **** like that happening.

Rodgers went 25 of 37 for 313 yards 3 touchdowns (that one to Driver I still don't know how the hell he made that) and 1 pick, Don't pin this on him it is not fair.

The only argument you might have that might hold water is the whole team playing above themselves for Favre but they did that last year there is nothing saying they don't play the same sloppy football even if it was ol' Number 4 instead of Rodgers.

Also please don't go into compairing stats because both guys are on totally different ball teams with totally different players and totally different schedules.

I will give you the Tampa Bay game may have come out different with Favre but then again Favre is a high risk high rewards QB and sometimes with him the dice don't go your way so hell maybe it would be the exact same record.

I honestly think Rodgers has been fantastic as a first-time starter.

I think this week has shown us just how mkuch gritt Aaron has... A solid performance with two TDs and a RUSHING TD to boot!!! No INTs and a 75% completion ratio...

SO in review of this thread, Rodgers ended with 4038 yards, 28TDs and a rating of 93.8... It places him as 4th in the NFL for yards, 4th in TDs, and 6th in ratings... Which I think confirms that Aarong Rodgers was in fact one of the guys to watch this past season...
