Johnson is servicable, but that is about it. He doesn't make many mistakes, but he doesn't make many plays either. The defintitive caretaker.
He looked good against the Redskins, but consider the competition. Redskins got little to no pressure on him and they were without Springs in their secondary. Johnson doesn't have much of an arm, so he has to put a lot of air under the long ball (it hangs out there for a LONG time). We got away with it on Monday, but if a quality CB was on the field they had more than enough time to adjust to the ball and turn those long completions (or drops, in the case of Williamson) into INTs. Vikings offense is methodical and plodding. We are not going to win any shoot-outs. As long as the defense can keep opponents on their heels, we can win the game. If they can't, we are in trouble. |

Brad Johnson is one of the best QB's when it comes to managing the game. He doesn't throw many picks, and Troy Williamson is his weapon. The vikings have one of the best o-lines in the league, I expect them win the division or come very close to it. It wouldn't suprise me if they win 11-12 games this year, top to bottom they are solid. Their D is where the my questions are.

The defense ranked higher than their offense last year, no reason to think it won't again this year. The offense has a lot more questions on it than the defense. Is Taylor a legit starter? Can Brad Johnson make it through the season healthy? Is Brad Johnson still a quality starting QB? Who will step up at WR? Will the right side of the line hold up? Who is the go-to player on the offense? The defense is stacked in the secondary and deep up front. Only the LBs have questions about them. |

brad johnson is a game manager like the others said. put him at the vikes 20 with 2min left and no timeouts being down by 6 and see if he can get them in the endzone. 99 out of 100 times he doesnt.

Gets no respect? Who cares?
He's got a starting job in the NFL as an old man. He's got a good line and a decent back. What more do you want? Are you his mother? Geez man get a grip.
