Defense was the primary reason, they shut the Rams WRs down.

But Brady's final drive to give Vinatieri won him the MVP.

He has still defined a generation.

So did Marino, Elway, Montana, Unitas, Starr, Aikman and Young.

How do any of them give you an advantage over Brady in 2007?

If the Packers beat the Patriots in the SuperBowl, it will be a monumental upset. It isn't impossible, but the Rams winning the NFC West and beating the Patriots in an upset for the SuperBowl isn't impossible either.

I'm not denying it would be an upset, I was simply stating that Favre defined a generation.

Aaron

After the Cowboys game, I think it was the best kind of loss. For me I saw Green Bay beat Green Bay not Dallas beating Green Bay.

Don't get me wrong Dallas played good ball but considering the players who didn't play for Green Bay, they played good ball.

Most of all Aaron Rodgers stepping up and having easily the biggest game of his life. He did an amazing job in my opinion going out there and proving he was worth the 17th pick if I remember right and showing the coachs, front office, and most of all the fans that the time after Favre may not be as bleak as one would think.

The coaching bothered me a bit in the game I was getting pissed off at all the deep calls they kept calling. Where was the short intermediate passes that gave them 10 wins and where was the run game? I know Grant had some big plays but even when Rodgers took the field it seemed as thought they somewhat abandoned the run game.

I think this is one of the best Packer teams in a while.

The packers are going to win the super bowl this year. That is a fact, they are afraid of us, the other teams know what's up
If they don't I will change my name....to CW

" JCD: For all his hype, the 2nd half of Favre's career has been marked by very poor play-off performances.
A bad pick (or picks) has ended pretty much every Packer play-off run since their only Super Bowl."

Amen.

well I'd rather get a taste of the playoffs rather than blow the season on a 8 game loosing streak like the Lions.

As bad as you think Favre is he sure out did Kitna.

Favre 28 tds 15 ints 4,155 yds 95.7 rtg sacked 15 times and won 14 games.

Kitna 18 tds 20 ints 4,068 yds 80.9 rtg sacked 51 times and won 7 games.

Just so we are clear, we have gone from "the Pack are the best in the NFC and can beat the Patriots..." to "at least we are not the Lions..."

Is that REALLY something to be proud of?

I still think the Packers were the best team in the NFC and could have beat the Patriots the way they were playing.

Now the Packers played like crap in the title game same as the Patriots in the Super Bowl so I will give the Giants all the respect in the world I am happy for them beating the Patriots it was an awesome game.

Winning doesn't always mean they are a better team because in that case then there is a team Miami last year was better than because they did win one but that is false they were the worst team in the league.

The Packers are a team of the future the youngest team in the NFL and they won 14 games. There are great players, coaches and the NFC title game is a good learning experience for these kids of how to deal with big games and add to that another draft from Ted Thompson and maybe a free agent or two and I like the way this next season is looking.
