Vikings' Robinson charged with DWI

MANKATO, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings' long-term investment in receiver Koren Robinson looked suddenly shaky on Wednesday after a new DWI arrest that threatened to cost the team one of its top offensive players.

Robinson, who made the Pro Bowl last season after alcohol problems derailed his career in Seattle, was arrested Tuesday night after police in St. Peter clocked his blue BMW sedan going more than 100 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Not great news for the Vikings. They needed things to fall into place to have a good year. This really isnt a good start.

The best part was on the game Monday night they talked about how he said his previous rehab changed his life. He threw himself into and made pages of notes that he carries in folder with him. Guess the folder blew out the window?

The guy was doing well too. Too bad, this will just be another controversy for the Vikings, not as bad as last year's "Boat Party" though.

Can't say that I'm surprised or that I feel all that sorry for him. Yeah, it sucks to have your personal problems laying out for the world to judge, but it also sucked for every motorist he encountered on the road who was frightened by his reckless driving. I'm just glad he didn't hurt anybody.

I didn't hear about this one but it seems like the Vikings are not having the greatest start off this year. I mean what happened last year is still in peoples minds and now this. I remember when the Cowboys had problems and everyone focused around the problems. It's going to be the same way witht he Vikings.

I agree, because he got caught this was a very selfish risk for him to have taken. Players need to understand that they are in fact under a microscope and the team's success largely depends on their individual and contributions as a team.

I wasn't a huge fan of him to begin with, but this is a hole he deserves to be in and I feel no pity for him.

Robinson and Culpepper for a 2nd and a case of beer.......not a good start.
