Stats don't lie. Period. (And yes, we all know he holds the INT record, but he also holds every other record). 10 top QB? No doubt in my mind. But you can continue to argue amongst yourselves.

OK, so you are of the opinion that Travaris Jackson and his 95.4 QB was the league's 5th best QB last year. Better than Manning (either), McNabb or your beloved Favre. FYI... the numbers had Favre a bottom-10 QB last year. As they did in 2005 and 2006 as well. I hear they do not lie. Though glancing at the shoutbox, and reading your posts, you are self-admitted Favre fanboy. This discussion isn't likely to go anywhere.

Are you judging solely on QB ratings? Because they don't always tell the whole story of who's-who amongst the league's best. Mitigating circumstances season-to-season, track record, surrounding talent (coaching and personnel) and strength of schemes are all vital factors in the final, semi-factual rankings of the best and worst QBs. It's why we can look at the NFL's statistically-proven best QB of all time and see him continue to win football games and put him amongst the league's best. All of the previously mentioned vital factors withstanding and the fact that Minnesota is one hell of a team with or without him considered...he's one of the best.
Being a fanboy has little to do with it. I can tell that I am more fond of Favre than most anyone else here, and I sometimes get the feeling the angst towards him is a bit of a mob-mentality thing here where everyone joins in just for the hell of it. I could care less, but I won't retract my honest opinion by admitting any non-existant fanboy fanaticism. That isn't me. My opinion: Brett Favre is the 10th best Quarterback in this league. Don't like it? Again, I'm up for arguments but don't sit there and try to tell me what my reasoning is, or even speculate as to what it could be, after I explain all that in full as I've done twice now.

I stand by my previous statement, and you just reinforced it for me. You have opted to ignore all evidence to the contrary to keep your fanboy idol on high (case in point: you praise his "great" performance last year even though his collapse cost the Jet's the post-season and his numbers put him in the bottom third of NFL starters). Heck, in our last conversation you completely denied that getting back at Green Bay was a motive of his. The only "reasoning" you have provided thus far is "Favre is awesome; I love Favre". That isn't reasoning, that is fawning.
