I recall reading that:
  • Barry was the most elusive (I can still hear Chris Berman's "whoop whoop")
  • Jim Brown was the most powerful and quick (Earl Campbell a close second)
  • Walter Payton was the most complete (running, blocking, catching) and classiest
One thing they all shared in common...they acted like they belonged in the end zone.

Best RB for one year would be Earl Campbell, hands down. Close second, Eric Dickerson.
