Romo's got balls
ESPN - Source: Romo tells coaches he'll play with broken finger - NFL
Dude wants to play with a broken pinkie, which is painful to throw with. Any broken finger on your throwing hand will really throw off your game and restrict your throwing motion. Romo's got some balls to wanna try and play through it with a splint. Bad ass, that is exactly why I'm a Romosexual!!!

First off, there have been players who have played through injuries that have hampered their ability. Its the NFL, and they are expected to play.
Secondly, I don't know if this is the smartest decision by Romo. The wrong hit to his hand and it could require surgery, prolonging this injury even more. If Tarvaris Jackson was the backup, I would be praying for Romo to play. Its not and Brad Johnson is a solid veteran.

As if this is a big deal... Buddy tape the damn thing to your ring finger sissy boy! It's not like Aaron Rodgers playing with a seperated shoulder... It's a pinky... Basket Ball players play with dislocated/sprained/broken fingers all of the time... I like the pity approach though... QBs have played with far worse injuries, and done well...

The way Tony throws the ball with his sidearm release, that pinkie finger is very important to keep that ball in his hand and to control the release. It's not an unimportant finger like is basketball where all you have to do is dribble, try gripping a football once and try throwing with and without your pinkie then come back to me and tell me that was easy, it's not. At this point I'm worried about ball security, Romo already has butterfingers and know he has butter-broken-fingers. I'm not sure, I say give it a shot at practice and if he feels good let him play and if he fumbles and plays horrible b/c of it during the first half pull him and put in Brad for the second half.

I dont get why the Cowboys would even let him play? He's the key to their success and they're facing the Rams? They could easily beat the Rams with Brad Johnson at QB. It's not like theyre facing a good team or it's a pivitol conference game. If he injures his pinkie even more to where it would require surgery, than the Cowboys are basically screwed for the rest of the season. Dumb move by Dallas IMO.

Like Romo is the first one to do it? Favre has done it plenty of times. Romo isn't even starting today.
