Losing Tiki (no matter how good he was) was addition by subtraction.
Not so with Strahan. Even if Tuck can replace him his presense will be missed. His teammates really respected the guy. He was a leader on the defense. Oh yeah, thanks for the thread, TC. |

10 wins, but I'm being nice. 9 wins wild card is more realistic. Strahan was too big of a loss. Teams feared his rush and were pressured, now there won't be that sense of urgency.

The Giants were the 2nd wild card team in 3 years to win it all. It's the old momentum thing. Straham will be a major loss, and no one expects any team other than Dallas to win the NFC East regular season title. But as Dallas and others have found out, winning the regular season does not mean much lately.

Reporters asked Strahan about his replacement and he felt that Kiwanuka was a natural end and should replace him and that Tuck should move inside to tackle (I think that's where Tuck lined up on 3rd and long last year).
Makes sense to me IF the Giants have the guys to replace Mitchell and Torborg (who weren't world beaters, anyway). Don't get me wrong, they were good but not irreplaceable. Interested to see if Webster can play as well as he did down the stretch. If he can the Giants should be good at cornerback with him and Ross. |

I think it is safe to say the NYG season is over before its started. Seeing as how Eli is suiting up for another season of miscalculated errant throws to the wrong team.
He is terrible, a joke, a retarded dog could throw better than him. The only reason he wins is becasue he rides the defense train all the way to super bowl town. CHOO CHOO CHOO CHOO |

I've got them going maybe 7-9 at best. When you lose your best 2 pass rushers and your corners haven't improved I don't think you'll do much better than you have.

A lot rests on Eli's shoulders. I think the Giants are probably better than the Skins, and better than the Eagles once McNabb gets injured, but that's based on solid play from Eli.

Think this is pretty acurate... I really thought Washington was going to be a lot better this year, but man that line has looked pathetic. They are still my sleeper team from the NFC though. If that O-line can play better than they've looked and Campbell can continue to progress they could win 10-11 games this year. |

Well it was a solid win for the Giants against an across-the-board awful Redskins team.

Man how bad was Campbell? Was he lost in the 4th quarter or what? Giants first drive had me scared... then the sack on the first play for their defense I was like shiat they are better than I thought... then they showed their true colors. They should have one that game by 21 points. Manning is mediocre at best outside of the pocket. |

Yeah, great performance by the Giants defense all-around, but the Skins didn't look good at all.
