Gotta love zorn after the game...
"I thought we got a good look at the area's we need improvement in" Hey Jackass..is that not what the whole pre-season is for ? The Giants defense looked good because washington's offense was so horrid. And i'd not call it a solid win, a lucky win is more like it. If Redskins DB's could catch, manning would have tossed 4 INT's. |

Agreed, I didn't get Zorn's post game media show. You just inheritted a playoff team and the craziest owner in the league. You would have thought he was coaching a Pop Warner team that just lost, not the Redskins who just lost to a division rival. To me that team is a reflection of this... they played with a lot more heart last year. What was that final drive of the game? Did anyone on that team care about winning... it's like they'd already given up.

Tynes worked on his leg strength in the offseason, When he's healthy he can probably get up to 10 yards more on kickoffs than Carney can.
Carney looks like a more accurate kicker for field goals, though. Giants are gonna have a difficult decision if Carney is like 8-9 or 9-10 when Tynes is ready. Wonder if Coughlin would go with two kickers. He might have room as the Giants only have two quarterbacks on the roster. |

As I much a hate to, I agree with Goose. They didn't play with heart, and I don't think Zorn is taking the loss seriously. He almost seemed happy that they at least scored points.

lol. the Rams are absolutely terrible. Oh well, at least they'll get a top draft pick. They'll be fighting KC for the #1 spot.

Giants are 13 1/2 point favorites against the Bengals.
I think the Giants should win but the point spread is ridiculous. They don't have the big play offense (to date) to warrant that many points. Last edited by klingsor : 09-18-2008 at 06:22 AM. |

The Bungles have the defense to warrant it though!

Giants not bad at 3-0, but you have to temper that with who they've played to get there. They've only beaten the Redskins, and the lowly Bengals and Rams. The nice thing about the Giants schedule, at least for the Giants, is that they don't face any stiff competition until week 8 when they face the Steelers.

I may eat these words, but based on the Skins and Bengals game I am not that impressed with the Giants. I'd probably put Philly in front of them right now as 2nd in the NFC.
