I would love for this trade to go through. I wouldn't mind giving up either our Pick 22 or Pick 28 for him, just one 1st rounder for him would be worth it. I think we can get him for just a second rounder, and him playing opposite TO would be killer. Give up only one 1st or one 2nd for the guy and we can still draft Felix Jones and a CB later and we'll fill our most glaring holes.

Dallas is really going off the wall this off season. They are getting desperate to win a post season game. They talk about trading up in the draft to get McFadden. Now they talk about Roy Williams. Neither is likely to take place. What Dallas needs is team leadership. Obviously Romo does not have it, as witnessed by his playoff performances. Jerry Jones probably has no clue as to what he is doing. His leadership has led to 12 years of futility in the post season. This team reminds me of cattle having escaped the lower 40. A lot of good talent scattered all over the place, going nowheres. No leadership is this teams biggest problem.

No, they don't. Fans are the only people talking about that.
Good God, dude. His first two games, and you're ready to call him done? |

Well if you dont` know i`ll remind you that both loses were on him.
First one he bobbled the snap and fumbled and in the second he threw a pick to end the game. |

And against the Giants, that interception was the final play on fourth down. The team had to throw the ball. It wasn't all on Romo that the team had to try and win by one last throw at the end of the game. What about a defense that couldn't stop Eli? What about an offensive line that couldn't stop the rush at all in the second half? What about the big drops by Clayton? Was it Romo that couldn't return a kick past the 20? Was it Romo that took 100 yards in penalties? To say it was all on Romo is to say you didn't watch either game. Last edited by Troy McClure : 04-15-2008 at 01:37 PM. |

Anyone who watched the last two playoff games that Dallas lost in would know that it wasn't entirely Romo's fault. Anyone who knows anything about football knows that to win the game the entire team has to play the entire 60 minutes, not just the 1st quarter, not just the 2nd quarter, not just the 3rd quarter, and not just the 4th quarter, but the entire game. I admit there are turning points in the game where it can turn to one team's favor, but if a team plays it's best the entire game they should win, and both of those Cowboy's losses were on the entire team.
Loss to the Seahawks in 06' Season: Yes Romo bobbled the snap, I remember I was at work screaming at the TV. But the entire game was a horrible display of Cowboys football. Our defense couldn't tackle our offense could barely move the ball effectively. The key fact that it isn't entirely his fault: Romo got us into position for that kick, if it wasn't for him we wouldn't even be in the playoffs that season, nor would we have made it down the field to even attempt that kick. Loss to the Giants '07 Season: Our supporting cast failed us. The offensive line, our supposed strength all season, failed. The Giants were able to run Romo around and around in the second half. Barber ran for 100 yards in the first half and failed to keep that pace in the second half. And dropped balls, dropped balls, dropped balls, and not just from T.O. but from surehanded Crayton, Witten, and yeah well T.G. hardly counts. Our defense failed to get enough pressure on Eli and we lost that game on a 4th down play that EVERYONE, fans, officials, defense, and hell even the ball boy, knew we had to throw for so yeah no duh there is gonna be 3 DBs on a reciever. If you wanna try and blame the loss of a football game on anyone, first watch the damn game so you know what the hell you are talking about. It wasn't entirely Romo's fault, it was the team's fault.

And 3 Super Bowls in a span of 4 years before that. Yes we must all not forget that it was Jerry who pulled the strings on the Herschel Walker trade that netted them a slew of Pro Bowlers, and eventually those 3 Super Bowls. If you wanna pin the bad on JJ you have to pin the good as well.

From what's been reported since the draft, Jerry had a deal in place that Detroit agreed on, but there was also a 3 team trade that would have brought McFadden to Dallas if he fell past 6. Jerry wouldn't pull the trigger on Roy because several people thought McFadden might fall. Jerry was on the radio after the draft and wouldn't be specific about a trade for Roy because he said it could be consider collusion... but he did confirm that any trade involving a WR (and he confirmed he was in talks with 2 teams Cincy NOT being one of them) were on hold because he did have a 3 team trade agreed upon if McFadden fell. |
