Washington Redskins Portis return

They are saying that he should be able to return for the second game of the season against the Vikings. Just thought someone might be interested.

Have a great day.

That is interesting information if true. Good thing I cut Ladell or whomever it is. Too bad my RBs suck and I have no shot at Portis.

They want him back at 100% and not sooner. Portis himself said that he wouldn't be suprised if he missed Week 2 as well.
Guess we just have to wait and see.

Now they're saying that Portis will be available as a back up.
It's a mess.

This just doesn't make sense to me, if he's injured bad enough to not start, why chance him getting hurt worse as the back up.........

I agree with you there. They should let him get 100% so they can have him healthy for the year instead of playing him as a backup and risk more injury. I'm guessing though its just a ploy to make the other team prepare in case he plays. I would be surprised if he actually played though..

Well, I'm guessing that the Redskins Management doesn't read these board, since Portis was in there playing. Betts got the start, and a majority of the runs, but Portis was right in the thick of things......

I really don't understand why they would let him play. I would not want to take the chance of him getting hurt worse. Better a few weeks missed then the whole season.

This post was actually started prior to the week 1 games, it was all speculation at that time........ Sure, we all know After the game, that he was able to play.....

Looks like Portis is out for the Sunday night game against Dallas. Helps the Boys obviously, but only if Bledsoe remembers the guys in the red jersey's arnt on his team

Yes I just seen on the news that he would not be playing. But that he was not happy and did not agree with Coach Gibbs on the decision to keep him out of this weeks games.

I feel that Gibbs should have kept him out of last weeks game, in order for him to heal. By not letting him have that extra time, they are in the current situation of him not playing this week......

I have this feeling, that he WON'T remember that little detail. I should be a fun game to watch......
