Week 13 Picks
Cowboys over the Packers - By 3 points in the final minutes. Cowboys keep Favre winless in Dallas, and they clinch a playoff spot.
Bills over the Redskins - Sorry to say, but with the death of Sean Taylor the Skins won't be able to concentrate and will lose a tough one by about 7. Seattle over Philly - Eagles are in disarray, McNabb is out and they sport the hangover of the Patriots loss. By 10. Chicago over Giants - Forcast is for low 50s and rain, another muddy one up @ Soldier field. With Jacobs likely out and Ward still coming off injury the Giants won't have much of a running game and will likely have to throw in this horrib weather. Hester returns another for a TD. Chicago by 6.

Cowboys over Packers - This one could go either way easy. But im worried about Farve exploiting our pass defense. We can stop thier run, its thier passing game that worries me. I heard Charles Woodson is out this week with injury, so Romo SHOULD have a field day if we can stop thier pass rush.
Green Bay has one of the best linebacker units this year with Barnett and Hawk. Rushing yards might be hard to come by. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Redskins over Bills - The team is going to be fired up over the loss of thier saftey. Marshawn Lynch is out I believe. Redskins are gonna beat them bad. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Giants over Bears - Cedric Benson is done for the year, I have him on one of my fantasy teams and imo he never showed up to begin with since being handed the starting rb job this year. The Bears are a complete mess in every way. QB issues, RB issues, ineffective WR's, defensive injuries. Giants rebound this week. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Seattle over Philly - Eagles played thier hearts out last week and almost beat a team that everyone is saying is unbeatable and they did it with a backup QB. This one could go either way but Seattle has alot going for them and they are looking to win thier division. |

Cowboys win (I like the Cowboys in this one...if they chose to go 5 wide it leaves Favre defenseless..I'll take the Cowboys front over the Packers every day of the week (on both sides). When Favre starts getting pressured I wanna see if he goes back to the Favre of old...he did against Chicago.)
Redskins win (The Bills aren't that good...Their third string running back might be taking most of the snaps too. Washington should win on defensive scores alone lol) Giants lose (I like the Bears defense in this matchup....I just have a funny feeling we're gonna see two bad games in a row from Eli) Philly wins (I'm not sure on Mcnabbs status...but if he plays I change my pick to the Seahawks. This year the Eagles are a better team with the backups. Mcnabb is a hell of what he was.)

Redskins over Bills - 31-13 Portis with a big day (138 and 2 td's) Campbell with 260 and 2 td's to Cooley and Moss.
Cowboys over Packers - 34-24, I just don't think the Packers are as good as their record shows, Romo has a good day with 275 and 3 td's, Favre throws 2 picks Bears over Giants - 20-17, Gould hits one late in the fourth to seal it, Eli continues to struggle. Hester returns one. Seattle over the Eagles - 24-17 Good game followed by bad games all year for the eagles, they wasted a good game on the wrong team. and why would you ever pick your team to lose when thier 10-1 playing at home, where favre will never win. plus green bay had so many close lucky wins this year. ex. denver, washington, philly and thats just of the top of my head. if you dont have faith in your team when their 10-1 when the **** will you have faith

Ignore the fact I've picked Dallas 6 straight weeks if you want. Honestly, your crap is ridiculous. Do you think any other fan even blinked when they saw me pick GB? I didn't insult Dallas, Green Bay is a good team, and frankly I don't think anyone really gives a damn about picking a game on the frigging internet. Glad Dallas won, my gut said the Packers this week and I was wrong.

Blind faith is one thing, being a reasonable fan is another. You have to pick against your own team from time to time, it's just the right thing to do. Blind faith gets you nowhere and only proves that you are an ill educated fan, you have to every once and a while step back and take a look at your team from another perspective and evaluate, unbiased, the strengths and weaknesses of your team, that is how you can be a great fan and even a great team. The greats always are striving for more, never thinking it is enough, just because you're a fan of a team doesn't mean you have to show blind faith to jump off that cliff, your optimism must always be tempered with the possibility of a loss and the simple fact that your team may not be as great as you think it is.
I picked the Boys to win, by a slim margin b/c of the fact that we have some holes that I acknowledge. I don't blindly jump to say we will blow them out of the water, and that is what a good fan does, he/she evaluates and makes a call on what he perceives and not what is blindly expected of him/her as a fan. I applaud TC for making such a call, albeit he was wrong but at least he had the balls to go against his team and say what he thought he saw.

Our pass defense still has considerable holes. Our pass rush can look vanilla at times and our offense has it's cold moments, as well as stupid penalties which cost us drives. T.O. drops passes and there is not legitimate threat at our third WR position. Julius Jones loves to run into walls and Barber doesn't get enough touches. Witten can be taken out of the game and become a non factor, and Flozell Adams still false starts and it's starting to infect Colombo a bit. Roy Williams still can't cover. Those are all problems that I think we can fix and any of those can lead to a loss.
