Thumbs down Jones sticks it to the FANS!

This came out last week and I barely had time to post vbookie. Jones released the 30 year licensing fee for seats at the new stadium... THEY START AT 16 GRAND FOR THE CLUB LEVEL! I don't find out how much my seats will be until February, I am hoping it's not more than 5K, but dam I was really hoping to move up to the club levels for the new staduim, there is NO WAY I can pay 16K per seat (just to have the right to then spend 3400 per year for the seats). I really thought he could have charged more for the very best sections 100K+ so that he didn't have to pass the buck down so far to the average (NON-MILLIONAIRE) fan.

It sucks, the best sections at the new stadium will not be occupied by the average hardcore Cowboys fans. It's going to be a bunch of corporate big wigs that will probably show up in the middle of the 2nd quarter because they could care less about coming to be a passionate Cowboy fan.

Shame on you Jerry, this is the first time you have pissed me off... I stood by you through all the questionable drafts and GM moves because I believed you cared about the Fans and now I am waiting for my lube so you can shove your 1.2 billion dollar wiener up my anoose.

City of Arlington put up 300 million and Jones put up 900 million. I knew there would be an increase in ticket prices (and was fine with that), mine will go from about $87 a game to (I am guessing) $140 a game. I have no problem with that. I also knew he was going to make us buy into the licensing, I just didn't expect it to be 16K per seat for a 3rd level seat? That's too much, I figured he'd stick it to the premium seats a lot more so it wouldn't be as expensive for the average Joe. I wanted to buy 4 season tickets on the club level... that would cost me 64,000 up front just for the right to buy my seats for the next 30 years and then 13,600 a year for the seats. Me and my wife do ok, but shiat, I can't afford 1/4th of that.

Oh and this is what's great... they call that licensing fee a "Seating Option" but it isn't optional... if you want season tickets you pay it with in 10 days of talking to your ticket representitive.

Perhaps it is time to boycott Jerry Jones & his new stadium.

If it is $$$ he wants, then the fans can make a resounding thump by not opening their wallets for him.

That means:

Don't go to the games in the new stadium.
Don't buy any new Cowboys merchandise.
Don't buy anything that sponsors JJ, and make sure you tell them why!!! Like Papa Johns, Dr. Pepper, Bank of America, American Airlines, Ford, Miller Lite, Pepsi, CVS Pharmacy, etc. (Those sponsors were listed on the Dallas Cowboy web site.)

Get it out on the blog o sphere that the fans won't put up with this crap... Start raising a big stink! Turn it into an issue big enough for the media to get hold of & run with.
If enough bad press is generated, the sponsors will flinch & help change JJ's mind for him.

Or... You can simply grab an industrial sized tube of KY, bend over & take it like a fan.

Your call.

Wow, this is what Al Davis did to us Raiders fans in 1995. We paid 2,000$ for our PSL's back then. Our seats at that time were third level.

Jones and Davis equal everything thats wrong with the NFL and part of the reason I barely support the league anymore. Goose I'd suggest trying to buy season tickets for your Aggies, Fu*k the NFL.

Eh I'm comfortable in my Lazy Boy watching the game on my 60" with a nice complement of burgers, fries, and a tub full of beers and cokes. I don't need to go to the game to enjoy it, and plus I get better resolution from the TV. Raise the prices for all I care, I'll still buy the jerseys and junk to show my fanhood, but I'm not going to see the game in person anytime soon, being able to get up and go to the bathroom and get back in time to see the next play w/o having to wait in line is a sweet thing.

Man I wish I could, but if I don't buy my seats someone else would, you've only got 10 days to decide once you go in for your appoinment because people are waiting in line. Me and my buddy talked about it after the game last night and I think we are going to suck it up and move up to the club terrace which means 16K minimum per seat for the option... it sucks but to me it's still worth it.
