It's pretty much blatantly obvious...you don't need to get into anything.

Agreed....but Mcnabb is about protecting himself mostly...which is why the excuses are always flying...or bringing up something to take the slack off himself. T.O....may have been about himself...but he got eaten alive for saying teammates need to step up (truth or not). Nobody ever saw him as a leader so it don't bother me as much....I just think he's a *i** instead of a ****ty leader.

We will obviously differ each and every day of the week about this topic. I just want it to be known it has nothing to do with him being an Eagles player. It has to do with my respect for him as a leader (which of course doesn't matter to him). If we have that clear then it's whatever.

Well did he throw some retarded INTs....when BOTH of the safetys were IN FRONT of his wr BEFORE he let it go? Granted the play calling hasn't been that good either...but that's the coaches problem...and he'll get his for the problem.

People seem to be looking at it as if he's just a regular player like a WR or something. Not what I'm doing...he has more responsibility than anyone else.

I didn't mind McNabb making himself look like an *ss both in his comments and a dumb*ss for throwing it into essentially triple coverage. I agree with ya man, if the safeties were to the sides of the WR then ok not too bad, but friggin in front?!?! that is just sad.

Roy_Williams: I don't know where you keep getting this "McNabb is calling out players names." Not once in that interview did he call out a player's name. He simply took his share of the blame about his poor performance, and said the team needs to improve its performance as well. He didn't even put the blame on the team. Tom Brady, as good as the Pats are, will say they can and will need to improve if they want to win the Super Bowl. A team can improve at any level, and thats what McNabb was saying. The WHOLE team, including himself needs to improve.

It would be different, if McNabb would have singled out the Defense, or the Offensive Line, or the Receivers. But he didn't. Thats the difference between Manning's interview and McNabb's. Manning singled out the defense, while McNabb said the TEAM needs to improve.

As far as the whole racial thing goes, I simply said that colored QB's do get scrutinzed more. I never said it was right for McNabb to use that as his scapegoat, because its not. I just simply stated how I feel on the issue. And I will agree with you on the fact that McNabb does use that in a poor manner.

And Romo is a celebrity QB. Face it. You don't hear about Manning being seen with Brittney Spears on a Sunday Night Football game. He is a talented guy, and I like his attitude. It would just be bad to see him get caught up in everything and lose track of his leadership.

Ok here I come, I had a reply and since have ignored this thread, but I have to come stick up for Roy. I have had my differences with him for sure, but I can't sit back and watch him get dogpiled on this thread. McNabb was wrong and has been wrong since he got injured. He comes off as an insecure weak minded QB everytime he opens his mouth. And as far as this thread is concerned I agree with RW, McNabb did take the coward route and if I was his teammate I'd be the first to feel like he should step up and take the blame. Let me break it down like this;

In Philly's losses McNabb looked like **** and in their wins he's looked like the old McNabb. As he goes the team goes, so he needs to be the first one to step up. And as I have said previously in this same thread, this is not the Eagle hater in me, prior to this season I was a closet McNabb fan... but he has lost me. He's a weak minded insecure QB, and even if we didn't have Romo, I wouldn't want him Quarterbacking my team.

Hey don't be dissing our QB when urs can barely break 100 yards a game if he's lucky. Romo has earned it and he can do just about anything he wants in my mind.

comeon gz, you say "dont go dissing our qb" eventhough there wasnt a dis there (infact he complimented him), but regardless u turn around and go "dissing" philly's..

keep this thread on track and itll be fine. theres multiple other threads for the romo talk. unless someone can rework the argument, all the comparisons to him make no sense here anyway.

IMO connecting Romo with Britney Spears is a diss. Anyways, McNabb needs to just shut his trap and play better. IMO he is the reason why they are losing right now and the only bright spot in the whole Philly picture is Westbrook.

GZ: I'm sorry about the Romo comments. I actually like the guy. The only reason I brought up Brittney Spears was because it was brought up in one of the Cowboys games.

Anyways, I agree that McNabb should play better. And if he does, it will help but realistically, hes not the only one playing poor for the Eagles. Like you said, Westbrook is probably the only player producing. If the defense would actually show up and stop somebody, that might help too. The point im getting at is, McNabb made a simple statement about the teams poor performance. He didnt single out anyone. He said that he is playing poor and that he is only a piece of the puzzle. Like they say, you win as a team and you lose as a team.

And yes I'm well aware that the Vikings QB's do suck. I live with the agony of it every sunday.

Lol, and there are rumors McNabb may join Childress up there.

I'm betting you do the same thing with Vince Young, the only difference is the Cowboys and Romo are probablly alot better.

Ok I have already seen a few nuuthugging post about VY from you... aren't you the guy that said he keeps starting VY over Anderson in your fantasy league? That's beyond nuthugging... you more like a ball tick.
