Romo picks apart Giants, Eli hurt (AP)

Wade Phillips threw a soft uppercut and smiled widely. He did it early, when his first gamble as coach of the Dallas Cowboys worked out -- then again in the closing minutes, following a touchdown that also made him let out a big sigh of relief. Marion Barber got things rolling with an 18-yard touchdown run on fourth-and-1, Terrell Owens added two highlight-reel touchdown catches and Tony Romo made...

Well now... Lets be reasonable. I wouldn't say Romo picked the Giants apart any more than Eli did the Cowboys. It was largely just the fact that T.O. is unbelievably good at catching the pigskin.

Owens only had three catches. Romo threw 12 others completions for 258 yards and two TDs to other guys on the team. Romo was awesome.

Eli played the best game I've ever seen him play.

Lets be reasonable...the only reason Eli is being overrated right now is because he had a huge mismatch in Plax vs Reeves. Reeves had to play far off him the whole night cause he "wasnt ready for man to man"....Newman being gone forced the Cowboys into a zone...and they arent that good at that.

Hell...Drew Henson probably could have made those throws.

Wait, you can't just blame one guy. What about his teammates? The whole defense sucked, right?

What about the safety who was supposed to help support Reeves? Where was he?

Basking in his reputation.

You can't blame Eli on that, it is playcalling. The coach calls the plays and his primary receiver, so Eli has to go through his reads. If Eli sees his first few options open than he throws to them. Do you really want to go against Coughlin when he calls a play? Um No. Only people you can blame for not exploiting Reeves more are the coaches.

You really hate Roy don't ya? I can't blame you, yes he has deficiencies, but you can also blame our poor pass rush.

Which has to be concerning. This passrush has to be elite for us too succeed because of our weakness in the secondary. Even if the pass rush is 'good' I really don't think it'll be enough to stop a QB from picking us apart in the air.

How many first and other high round draft picks can you spend on a pass rush before you expect more?

Is it coaching?

That would be a question Bill Parcells would have to answer.

Other than Ware and Spencer, what recent draft picks are out there contributing to the pass rush?

You're not very good at reading sarcasm, are you? This Roy Williams fan kept trying to spread the blame around in the other thread, but here he puts it all on Reeves. Pretty inconsistent positions if you ask me.

Reeves wasn't ready to start lets get freaking real. HE had to play off the WR 5 or 6 yards the whole night...cause that's what the coach called for. Plax was able to go anywhere right off the start cause they couldn't slow him down at the line. Mannings big day was because reeves had to play so far off...it completely opened up the offense...and tore apart the WHOLE defense. As I freaking said earlier the DEFENSE (WHOLE ***M DEFENSE) isn't that good in zone. (That seems to be blameing everyone...and just stating reeves wasn't ready to start)

You're right though it is Roys fault...he's a bum and I can only pray they cut him. (now please shut up about it. Or we can just run in circles in this thread.)
