Yeah I read about that. Sounded like they drained some fluid more than anything. In the time it would take for any stitching to heal I'd expect he'll be ready to go again.

Kinda funny how all the skins fans have woodies because they actually have a shot at a winning record for a change. The reality is that the Eagles, Dolphins, and Giants are 0-2 right now, and their first two wins were extremely close. I could easily see them having an after the bye-week melt down. But that is a topic for another thread. And last season when the Eagles went on a loosing streak early in the season I said there was plenty of room to go 10-6 and we did, and that same 10-6 won the division much to my surprise.

True ya'll may be able to come back from an 0-2 start, I doubt you can do the same on an 0-3 start especially with McNabb not at 100%, Westbrook and Dawkins banged up and currently little if any secondary that is healthy. 0-3 is nearly impossible to come back from.

While James play does concern me late in games I'm not sure that there has been any statement released saying Dawkins was out. Even without Lito starting I think the defense has improved against the run. Like I said before the front 4 (8) will have to do a better job disrupting the pocket and get constant pressure on Kitna but JJ's defenses usually have success against pass heavy teams that are not balanced. You'd think the offensive side would learn something from seeing that. Westbrook is going to play and to me it really comes down to how good of job the offensive play calling keeps the lions offense off the field. This is basically a playoff game for the Eagles and the one thing they have in their corner right now is that Jon Kitna appears over confident with a 2-0 start vs the Vikings and Oakland and is already talking trash. In the NFL the team talking the most before a game usually looses. As a result of the statistics, this is essentially a playoff type of game for the Eagles who up to this point have a better defense, can the same be said for the 2-0 lions on the road?

I think Moose said they opened the doors at the end of the tunnels to help the wind kick. At first I thought he was kidding, but maybe not so much. Anyway, an ugly win against the Jets but obviously needed. I've heard people complaining about it all week and the reality is that if the Eagles want to win with this group it is going to mean a lot of "boring" wins via less passing than we are used to seeing and trusting this defense. I'll take wins over big plays all day. Especially with Mcnabb not being 100% and the offensive line issues, consistency and success running the football is more crucial than ever. I was glad to see Tony Hunt come in and convert 3rd and short, hopefully he is gaining Reid's trust. Now If LJ can get back healthy perhaps I'll feel differently about the WR group, but for now it appears the FO really blew it when they let Stallworth go.
Speaking of, when it is all said and done the only teams that even have a shot at closing the gap on the Patriots are the Colts and maybe Steelers with the Chargers and Jags potentially fighting for third later on but all AFC teams and with that said whatever happens this season happens. If we don't have a shot at the Super Bowl then it's just another season to me. I'll still enjoy wins and watching games of course, but the organization needs to address the WR position properly this off season in one form or another. No more f-ing around. It's bad enough watching the redskins sign WR after another but then the Chambers trade was just salt on the wound. Make a serious move for a true #1 already. I'd like to see them make a trade offer for Chad Johnson or someone proven this off season, I don't think relying on the draft is the answer.
As far as the Bears, well, a win would bring it to .500 which would be great. Have to out score Hester and keep the turnovers minimal. The offensive line play is my largest concern, everyone is banged up and they really shouldn't have given up any sacks against the Jets. Again, handing off to Westbrook, Buckhalter, and Hunt in that order, can make it all better.

Wow 2-4 and blowing a 4th quarter lead. Not where I thought the Eagles would be at this point in the season.

Way to go Eagles! You freaking bums can't do well with the most important drive of the game. They started off at their freaking 3 yard line and we mange to let them score. Thanks a lot guys for a great season!! I think I broke my damn remote when I slammed it on the ground. :angry fire:: angryfire:

Losing wasn't a surprise, but the defense letting the Bears move down the field from the 3 sure as hell was. Handing off the ball in the redzone would have maybe made a difference in the game, but you know the Eagles are a "throwing" team, so what do I know. Like I said the other day, let this season be a wake up call to the front office to stop sitting on their hands during free agency. I just hope Mcnabb can survive the season with the sacks the line is giving up and have an opportunity to play healthy next season.

You don't want that world, it would be endless people running into walls and idiots drooling endlessly while watching Jason Campbell throwing passes in the ground.

Who'd have thought 10 weeks ago that the season standings would be like this?

The Eagles are a good team. Much better than their record reflects.
