McNabb to the Bears?

FanNation | Truth&Rumors | NFL

Quote:
The recent drafting of quarterback Kevin Kolb could mean that Donovan McNabb will be traded before the 2007 season. A few observers have opined that McNabb will be moved after the coming season. But here's a scenario that has him moving before September. The Bears are ready to win the Super Bowl. This scenario obviously depends on two things. One, that McNabb is physically ready to play on Week 1 of the 2007 season. Two, that Chicago is convinced McNabb is their best available QB option
Somehow I doubt this comes to pass. The Eagles are still contenders in the NFC East, and anything can happen come playoff time. This seems like a move that's being specualted about a year too soon.

definatly...its funny, i know philly managment sometimes makes weird decisions. but, no, we dont throw our team leader to chicago and leave a team of division champs in the cold with a rookie QB. its not happening. 100% sure... this move happens and ill ban myself.

Chicago Bears

This would be a bad deal, for the BEARS. McNabb is injury prone, and can not handle any type of pressure. His better years are behind him now. The Bears would have to give up too much to get him. He has very little leadership skills. There are several QB's that I would much rather have than him, and I sure would not give up one of my key players for him.

McNabb is not going anywhere! He is an eagle and will stay one for awhile.

This is very good, because as long as he is in Philadelphia, the Eagles have no chance of winning a Superbowl. He simply does not have what it takes.

Don't see anyone at QB for the Bears that are leading them to the promised ladn anytime soon. With a lot of off field turmoil on the other side of the ball, the Bears, while still a very good team, are not considered the same threat they were last year in my eyes.

BS, besides let's just say this trade does go through... who would the Eagles get in return?

The Bears only have defense, and they will not give anything of value up for McNabb. I agree that the Bears are not nearly as strong as some may think. The problem is that the NFC is so weak, that any team with good players have to be considered in the mix, unlike the AFC, where "good" is not good enough. The Bears still have enough to beat anyone in the very weak NFC. IF o the Bears, then I would give the nod to the Saints. The NFC East is over rated, if anything.

how much haterade did you have this mornin? two? three bottles?

anyway this won't happen lovie seems to have a man-crush on rex grossman so he won't make him the backup and the bears have nothing the eagles want or need

I didn't read anything Bigdaddy wrote that isn't at the least close to accurate. If I were a bears fan I wouldn't be crazy about this trade either. I am a huge fan of McNabb, but I am sure it would cost a ton to get him and injury concerns are completely justified. I personally do believe that he could win the big game, but given his track record in NFC title games it can certainly be questioned. And his points on the NFC vs AFC are completely true. If I were Philly and Chicago called thinking they had a chance to win a SB with McNabb I would certainly consider doing it. You could probably pull 2 first rounders for that, and Eagle fans don't be absolutly shocked if Andy singed off a deal like that, it is right up his ally.

More than likely if the Bears do trade for McNabb, they will probably package Briggs, a QB(maybe Grossman or Orton), and probably a first rounder and a second rounder(maybe). This could be a good deal for both teams because the Bears get rid of a whining LB and get franchise QB, one who has at least 4-5 good years left in him, and the Eagles get a first rounder(to build up new talent), a backup to Kolb, and a great LB(more than likely willing to play to his fullest). Could work out for both teams, but in all seriousness probably not gonna happen.

i dont see how picking up another linebacker this offseason would help, added on to the one we signed in takeo, plus trott, gocong, and mccoy...we already set ourselves up for depth AND talent at that position. theres a reason it was time to let go of dahani jones. additionally, this would expect us to rely on a rookie qb, or adding one of the bears craptastic talents at qb to back him up or start. i dont think sooooo. i like the idea of a 1st rounder but the players just dont fit the right deal for us. this one is a big LOL to whatever writer thought this one up...seriously. someone from the inquirer i think.

yeah i agree with him mcnabb is injury prone and struggles against top teams i just wanted to get a haterade joke in there
but McNabb is a huge improvement over rex and it wouldn't be surprising if the bears tried to get him but McNabb wouldn't win a superbowl with either team so it don't matter
