Giants taking a look at Key$hawn?

Giants | Team may be interested in K. Johnson
Wed, 2 May 2007 16:23:29 -0700
Ralph Vacchiano, of the New York Daily News, reports <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/26/nfl">New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin has not ruled out the possibility that the Giants might try and sign unrestricted free-agent WR Keyshawn Johnson (Panthers), but it is unlikely to occur.

Not suprising at all, I'm actually suprised the Chargers haven't made a run at him, as well as the Chiefs and Broncos

I've read that the Titans are interested. But there's a good half dozen teams that need a guy like Johnson right now.

True, he'd be a good #2 or #3 guy to go across the middle.

Behind Crayton, Glenn and TO? I doubt he'd go for that, not to mention him and TO would tear the locker room apart

I don't think he'd be behind Crayton... and Glenn and TO are yet to play a full season in a couple of years now.

Glenn missed one game (Game 10) this year and TO didn't miss a single game... not like either is a huge injury concern and after giving Crayton a 1yr 1.7mm deal, I doubt we're going to bench him.

Glenns half season was 04 I thought it was 05. So both had injuries last year (only missed one game each but both were plauged) and both missed 10 games Glenn in 04 and TO in 05. My point being, I would have no problem with Jones signing Meshawn to a 2 year deal as our 3rd WR and possible 2nd if TO or Glenn goes down again. And I love Crayton, but Meshawn is more consistent.

I don't remember TO missing a game last year and msn.foxsports.com/nfl doesn't show him missing one either, but maybe I'm wrong.

Needless to say, with both being 32, I wouldn't mind having Keyshawn's talent but I doubt his personality would fit with him and TO fighting for more catches...

I think he missed a part of a game, or started a game and couldn't take the pain so he sat out a bit. That's the only thing I can think of.

You can add Green Bay to the list of logical candidates. Not sure how Keyshawn would handle the climate though.

Keyshawn seems to be getting old, and to me it seems like he is getting scared to catch the ball, I don't know, I say he has a couple years left in him, but he is a whiney player on the field.

The Giants already have one wideout that causes off the field problems and clashes with the coach, they sure dont need another. Thanks but no thanks.
