Could the Cowboys draft a leg? - Page 2

Little bummed I think Crosby was gonna be a better pick, I think we got Folk b/c he is more clutch than Crosby tho. Only bummer is Folk doesn't have as strong of a leg, and we don't really need a K/P hybrid b/c we still got McBriar. I like a stronger leg cause we need some length on our Kickoffs, but I guess I can settle for clutch.

Mason Crosby is better. I watched him kick a 60 yarded against Iowa State 2 years ago against a stiff wind. The guy can kick, and he will probably make the pro bowl next year. Im putting big bucks on it.

You guys are nuts...

1) Medlock and Folk BOTH outkicked Crosby at the combine and while Folk is phenomenal from 45 and under he isn't bad from longer, just not as accurate (has made from 56 and 58yds) and will put 95% of his kickoffs into the endzone

2) There are atleast 4 guys who will play a major role in our team, but only one will come in and start and that's Spencer. This isn't because we drafted poorly but because we returned almost EVERY STARTER from last year and only needed to upgrade our depth guys.

Fold has a leg he just hasn't been as accurate from outside of 45... from what I read anyway. I am glad we drafted a kicker it's a position that needed to be addressed. Personally I would have rather of taken Medlock in the 4th, but maybe this kid will work out.

Unfortunately Medlock was gone by the time we drafted a kicker, and I guess they didn't think Crosby was clutch enough. I just hope that Folk can build up some serious leg for the long kicks and get some length on his kickoffs. I'm just happy we got a better kicker than Gramatica and Vandershank, and that he is clutch.
