Wade Phillips is a loser when it comes down to head coaching. Your offense depends on an "average" front line at best, protecting a QB who had a major meltdown last year after the league got to watch a few games. Your defense features a front line full of under achievers like Spears, Canty, and Hatcher. Your LB's are solid as is your secondary. That is enough to win the NFC East, which features the likes of Manning III, the oft injured Donovan J. (I'm a headcase) McNabb, and the unknown commodity in Campbell. That is as far as it goes. The NFC East has produced only 2 Superbowl contenders in the past 12 years, and neither one of those teams won it. I look for the same to continue.
not trying to be a nit-picking d*** but it was 3 and dallas won it...i don't know if you were going to try and use the before dallas won it (just going by your "trying" to totally let down the whole NFC East all the time, non-stop) but if you weren't then why pick such a year...and not go a year farther...and if you want to look past that then it was 7 of 17 teams for the NFC East representing the NFC(since '90 season...superbowl in '91)

I stand corrected. It has been the past 11 years. The fact of the matter is that the NFC South is still a better conference than the East, which has a great amount of mediocrity in it, and no team that you can call a favorite to win the NFC Championship. New Orleans is better than anything the NFC East has, and Carolina may be just as good.

The NFC South is a discrase aside from New Orleans. Carolina was a huge let down. Sure the NFC East hasn't been much better but it did have 3 playoff teams last year, Which shows the poor NFC conference. Tampa Bay who just couldn't win with a lot of sturgges, Except Matt Bryant 53 yarder. Carolina who had been picked as a SUPERBOWL contender was a discrase. They had some injuries but even before that they struggled. I think they have so much great talent but use it to waste. The Falcons even lost to an Eagles team with back ups and 3rd strings in when they had their starters. Vick's off-field drama and their lack of offensive weapons on the field. However with some sufficient pick ups they may show they can get back in a division race or at least a wildcard because New Orleans is a great team.

As for the division race, It's up for grabs for the 3 teams of course Giants, Cowboys and Eagles once again. I feel Washington will improve but not enough to pull to a division title. I am a die-hard Giants fan but I will have to see how Manning plays, He better step it up. If not he and the Giants are done. They have a pretty well shaped defense, But if Manning gives the ball over in the red zone, the defense can't always hold. The Cowboys it all depends on Romo. He had a meltdown in his young career that is a lot to take. Owens was a huge dissapointment. Crutial drops at crutial times, T.O WHAT!? But Dallas will be in the race, The Eagles will of course as well. It's all on McNabb's health. They can't lean on a young quarterback and not give him more recievers to throw to. The Eagles defense will be another big reason they will be in it. A very good unit.

Absolutely no way that the giants are anything more than 3rd in the nfc east. If anything, the eagles and cowboys will battle for 1st the whole year and probably split the series barring any major injuries:

1. eagles
2. cowboys
3. giants
4. skins

Yeah i retract my former prediction b/c I don't think the Giants will break .500 anymore. With rumors of Strahan retiring and the issues in the locker room. No Tiki and Coughlin on the brink of being fired I think that the Giants will be lucky to be anywhere close to .500.

Revised Predictions:
Cowboys 11-5
Eagles 10-6
Redskins 7-9
Giants 6-10

It will be between the Eagles and Cowboys. Well all know the Giants will be nothing this season and the redskins offense is a question mark. Cowboys and the Eagles have the two best QB's in the division and maybe the Top 5 QB's in the NFC

I voted for the Giants out of obligation, but I think the Eagles will win it.

Eagles - 11-5
Giants - 10-6
Cowboys - 8-8
Redskins - 5-11

I know everyone thinks that the Giants will do horrible due to the loss of Tiki and possibly Strahan, but i'm not worried. It would be naive of me to believe our running game will be as good as last year, but it will still be pretty darn good with Brandon Jacobs in the backfield. Yes, Brandon Jacobs, all 265 pounds of him bearing down like a freight train.

Last year the Giants went 8-8 in a year where we lost 7 starters on defense, our LT, and Eli's more reliable WR. We also had absolutely no depth behind the starters. We played one of the toughest schedules in the league, and our coordinators were nincompoops. This year we have much, much more depth, an easier schedule and there is no way we lose that many starters to injury again. Therefore, I do believe we can win at least two more games.

I look at it like poker, I know this looks stupid, but hear me out. Everyone is all in on the first hand with the Eagles holding a pair of Aces, Cowboys got a pair of Kings, Giants got a pair of Queens, And Redskins got a pair of Jacks the flop is Ace, King, Queen, with a Jack on the turn will the river be a 10 ....to be continued.

Exactly what are you trying to sell us? That the Giants will improve? Let's see. You have a QB that is a complete and total failure. You have absolutely ZERO speed in the backfield and you have lost one of the great RB in Ginats history. Your WR's are questionable and getting older. Strahan will either go through the motions of playing, or not play at all, recuding your DL to below average. Your LB'S are average, but your secondary is not. You have a coach who is disruptive and should have been fired last year. But YOU think they will go 10-6, right?

agreed.....but you forgot to mention the fact that the tight end has yet to stop running his mouth and figure out how to end the the injury bug. mabey this year he could finally be mentioned as one of the best tight ends in the league because of his 16 week play and not just his name (See: Warren Sapp)
