Eagles trade for Takeo Spikes

The Eagles acquired linebacker Takeo Spikes and quarterback Kelly Holcomb from the Bills in exchange for defensive tackle Darwin Walker and a conditional draft pick in 2008.

New Orleans Saints

I have one question. Do the Bills enjoy loosing??? I mean really they get rid of their best offensive player and their best defensive players Spikes Fletcher and Clements. This was a pretty bad off-season for the bills and they will compete with the raiders as the worst team in football

I guess McNabb sucks soo bad, might as well put in some good defense to ease that pain.

Nice pick up.

On that note, they picked up a really good back up, I know there are some in Buffalo that would prefer to have kept Holcomb as a starter over JP

Man, with this move the Eagles LB corps will be scary. The Eagles D in general will be scary, but will they be able to stop Romo and da Boys?? prbly not.

"With the first selection in the 2008 NFL Draft the Buffalo Bills select...."
thats what your gonna hear next year JP NEEDS a defense this team isn't good enough to dump arguably their two best players (Clemens and McGahee) along with two of the better LBs in the league (Baker-Fletcher and Spikes)
But a great GREAT pickup for the eagles

Saying that in Syracuse would get you tarred and feathered, and that's a walk in the park compared to what would come later...

Spikes will fit in real well in Philly, where he's not expected to be 'the man.' He's not what he used to be, but he's still damn good.

I don't understand this love for McScab. What, do Eagles fans think he's going to be like Peyton, throw good numbers and flake out each year and then finally put it all together for the championship?

Ain't happening. I just don't see Donovan as a big game player, i've seen his biography and all that crap on tv, i admire his drive and everything, but some people get a major hard on like its morning wood over players and it's just because of stats or that he plays on their god damned team.

Hell i think Ben is a good QB but not a great one, his team makes him great some nights, but he's a mediocre QB that looks good behind a good team, just that the team had a bad start and never recovered last season.

Get over it, be real...stop smoking what Manning18 is smoking, oregano, pcp and sage isn't healthy for you.

dude, whos getting a hard on? i think youve got the haters hard on...i dont see anyone on here blowing up mcnabb and saying hes greater than what he is. certian people get a hard-on over hating him...and it happens way too often. glad you have an opinion about him, but again, like i said in goose's thread...people just hate on philly, just cause...and its pretty rediculous imo. i dont have any prob with other people looking at him and saying "pfft, he aint gonna do it", because people have been saying things like that about him his whole career. im more of a glass full kinda guy though..i say, "if only he could take that next step."

its gonna be interesting next year though. cause even with all the BS he has to go through, hes gotta come back from a major knee injury too. but i still have faith in him.

man did u ever hit the nail on the head about big ben though... your assesment of his career is pretty spot on. his team has def made who he is over his career imho also. Mcnabb isnt like ben though..these guys were always different quarterbacks..

I think McNabb is a good QB, but not a great one. He needs a damn great team around him to be a solid contender though, you put him in Pittsburgh and you have a champion.

Well, prior to last season.
