Let's discuss what the Eagles need to do this offseason.
The good news is the Giants, as usual, have picked our trash in Spagnuolo. Thats the first step to completely revamping our LB core, which is the worst LB core of any playoff team. Our LBs are our weakness, even Trotter is now long in the tooth. Omar Gaither looks like a player, whether they keep him outside or switch him to his natural position in the middle. We also got the unkown in Gocong. He's built like a tank but he's gonna be a wildcard. If he can come in and be a good player for us, it will really upgrade our LBs. If he doesn't, then we're pretty much screwed because I consider McCoy to be a bust. Reid has to do all he can and try and get Briggs to come to Philly. It would fill our biggest need. Imagine a starting trio of Briggs, Trotter & Gaither. With Gocong/McCoy coming in on passing downs for Trotter. We also have to re-sign Stallworth. The rest of the FA WR crop is thin. So thin that Drew Bennett would be the top WR available. And we can't spend a pick on WR if we don't have to, since we need our top 3 picks for other needs. By re-signing Stallworth, I think we have a very good WR core for the next 4-5 years. And we won't have to worry about that position and the o-line. By resigning Stallworth, we can focus our draft picks on a RB, LB, Saftey & DT. What else do we need ? |

hahaha no doubt! I don't think Philly will do very much to thier roster. They've got an OK Offense and an even better Defense.

I agree a linebacker would be the first priority in the draft.
Patrick Willis 6-2/232lbs (ILB) Ole Miss Paul Posluszny 6-2/229lbs (OLB) Penn State Lawrence Timmons 6-2/235lbs Florida St. 3 Very good considerations! Feel free to add more names. |

How about stablizing that stadium walkway that sways whenever a few thousand drunk Eagles fans head for the exits?
